The cage match is a game I'm directly in, unlike the MTDG. I'm a tourist on team BABE, hanging out with the boys in there and giving a nudge post every other week, not much more. I lose a lot of interest when all the diplo thing starts. I don't remember (not that I read the whole forum with too much involvement) Wotan asking for a sub so I was leaving it in his better hands.

Then, I don't mean to turn the offer down flat but chances are you wouldn't like the suggestions I tossed in when we had talks about abandoning ... I highly regard Wotan for not giving in, turn after turn.

Thanks for the concern but I am actually winding down at work now and will not travel until second week of January. Unless there is an emergency of sorts that require my attention that is. So should be able to turn around any saves within 24 hrs for the next few weeks. We also happened to pull the short straw re. christmas so we have the house full over the holidays and will stay in most of the time so I am sure I will enjoy any excuse to play Civ. :lol:

I don't know about the rest of you, but we on team FREE are still interested in this game.

I would lie if I was to say I enjoy this game. I only go through the motions of trying to minimize any exposure so that we can avoid fighting (it takes too much time to plan for it). When marines eventually make it on the scene you will definitely have to find a replacement for me. My hope is that by the mid IA none will even dream of continuing with this game. And that will be somewhere around this time next year. :lol: So plenty of time to get bored with this game. I think I average 5 mins playing my turns.

The Council remains very active, indeed.

Don't worry Wotan, we'll come and "save" you from your chores long before next Christmas. :p

And yeah, The Council's subforum is very active indeed. Not too much about the MTDG though, but we do our best to keep that part of it up as well. ;)

That is just the thing. I have no intention of restarting the attacks on you guys. I just need the warhappiness to avoid having to readjust everything in the realm. And you don't suffer anything from it unless you start losing stuff so as long as we have a phony war, I will continue. Should hostilities (apart from the odd ship attack which is the only joy I have presently) ;) restart I will have to drop this game. When we talked about what would happen should we drop, the problem was what to do with our current holdings. I agreed to continue but to keep a very low profile in game. So for what it is worth try focussing on the other teams.

I now make the following suggestion: The first team to remove another team from the game will inherit all BABE lands! what about that as a christmas gift. That is probably something to look forward to in time for christmas of 2009. :lol:

What would make you look at this game in a positive way? Feel free to send our team a private note if you'd rather not discuss this in the turn tracker thread. I don't think anyone is having much fun in this game right now and we'd be interested in any reasonable suggestions you have for bringing the fun back for all of us.

Weird? I have not sent you anything but a save. See from the battle log you have another opinion and that i sent a peace offer. If that is the case there has been something weird going on with the save, I have always ignored you peaceoffer and did so this time too.. I suggest we kill this game unless it is fixed. You could have asked I guess prior to playing the turn when you spotted something out of the ordinary. Now maybe this will help us bury this game.

I have stated it before and I do it again´: I only open the save, go through the motions of checking some production stuff and then send it on. Anything else going on is wrong and should be a reason to ask before proceeding. Well, you have proceeded now so maybe that was the final turn played. I would be happy if it is the case. This is obviously down to you stubborness of sending peaceoffers every turn and me having to disregard them. So the reason this game is now in huge jeopardy of being stalled/ended or whatever is entirely your doing.

EDIT: I would suggest SABER do not open the turn to play until this has been sorted.

There is a known 'bug' or misfeature that if you do anything at all with the diplomacy screen while at war, you have to explicitly clear the table before exiting or there will be a peace offer sent. See for example the Deathmatch where that has happened several times. But no need to worry ('worry'?) Wotan, we did not accept it, nor would it have mattered if we did - you sent it without accept, and could just have cancelled it on your side.

I wasn't aware we were sending you peace deals every turn. Maybe that's part of the same misfeature, or maybe the turn player has done so without me registering it.

Came home late. landed in Copenhagen at midnight. So trying to browse through mails before going to sleep.

Thanks for clearing it up. the battle report suggested otherwise so got me a bit aggitated. But it is annoying to get a peace offer every turn.
