Das Opening Theme Music!!!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D43yn6g6pb4)

First off, for those who don't know, Kaiserreich is a mod for Hearts of Iron 2 that asks the question, "What if Germany won WWI?" And this AAR here, it be about Russia, and Omega's attempts to turn it into an empire that can and will crush everything crushable.:)
Anyways, onto the AAR.

Prolouge
The Russian Civil War. We all know how it went. Bolshevik forces, under the leadership of Lenin, took control of Russia, and created the Soviet Union, the communist superpower that defeated Nazi Germany, was the leader of the Warsaw Pact in the Cold War, and eventually was replaced by an extremely fragile democracy in the 90's.
But none of that matters. Because it never happened. There was no Cold War. Nazi Germany never existed. The Bolsheviks lost the Civil War. But victory for the White Russians came at a terrible price. The German assistance that had won them the war costed them Ukraine, Belarous, and the Baltics, all which became German puppets. And the fragile Russian government could only helplessly watch as piece by piece, Russia fell apart, until only the Russian heartland, and most of Siberia was left. But while the majority of Russia was content to let itself slip deeper and deeper into the hole it had dug for itself, there were those who still remembered a time when Russia was strong. A time when none would dare to humiliate Russia as it had been humiliated. A time when Russia was ruled by a Caesar. And I'm sure you all know the Russian word for Caesar....

Moscow: January 1st, 1936
Omega stared out his window onto the snow covered city of Moscow. Though it was midnight, no one was celebrating the new year. No one had any reason to celebrate anymore. As he gazed, a shadowy figure entered the room.
Omega: "The hitman has been given his orders?'
Person Hidden In Shadowsness: "Yes."
Omega: "Are my officers ready to move?"
P.H.I.S.: "Yes."
Omega: "And the army?"
P.H.I.S.: "They will not dare move against us."
Omega: "Very good...."

The time of the Tsars was about to return....

Heil Tzar Omega!

Hey, I'm not Tsar yet! Just a measly minister of Security. But that's gonna change soon....

Planes? Of Course we have planes! 7 squads of planes from before WWI, all with completely untrained officers and soldiers, and all of which are extremely understrength! Nothing shall oppose us!:crazyeye:
I'm getting maps ready right now.
Well, technically, the guns work fine, it's just the soldiers with the guns that aren't so good.... Most of the divisions are understrength, outdated, and not very happy with being in the army (Russia starts out with 12.22% dissent.... Not good at all....) Plus, to make it worse, we have absolutely no land doctrines at all, and cannot research any until 1937 (Basically, our army is even less organized and effecient than the Soviet Army was before WWII....)
My only real hope is the fact that most of the worlds only slightly less messed up than we are, so if we can get a headstart on fixing the country, we might actually have a chance to survive! (And not be completely slaughtered by Mongolia, which happened the first time I tried playing as Russia in this mod.:mischief: )

Then, why is Chzechelovoskia (sp?) in existence?

And if germany won, why would the Austro-Hungarian Empire also be dismantled?

Part 1: Rise to Power

Moscow: Januray 4rth, 1936
Alexander Kerensky. President of the Russian Republic for 20 years. A Die-Hard Reformer, he had spent his entire career attempting to turn Russia into the republic he dreamed off, never giving up that dream, even as Russia collapsed underneath him. But Russia did not need dreamers. Russia needed leaders. Kerensky was shot at midnight, on January 4rth. The assasin was never found. The next morning, the Duma held an emergency meeting to decide who would lead Russia.

The Kremlin
The meeting room had already erupted into argument after only a few minutes. Half the people in the room had nominated themselves as the next president, and the other half seemed to be randomly switching sides. But everything went silent when Omega entered the room. Few risked the displeasure of Russia's Prince of Terror. Finally, one of the council members gathered enough courage to speak up.
"Omega, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be outside, stopping the rioting and anarchy out there?"
Omega: "It can wait. Guards, arrest them all."
The guards, who had previously simply been standing by the doors, marched forward and seized the councilmembers.
"What is the meaning of this? Let us go this instant!"
Omega: "I decided you all need a vacation. Siberia is supposed to be lovely this time of year. And from this moment forward, I shall be president of Russia. Take them away."

Part 2: Second in Command

With Omega's hold on Russia tightening, all he needed to finally complete his conquest was appoint a second in command. But who? Omega didn't want to share power, but refusal to appoint a second in command would further destabalize the nation and anger the people, and Russia was close enough to revolution as it was. In a move completely out of character for Omega, he appointed the patriarch of the Orthodox Church as his second in command, in return for the Patriarchs promises to ask the Orthodox Russians to accept the new government. The plan worked, and it didn't take long before the dissent in Russia was halved.

Part 3: More Rebuildingness

While the areas around Moscow and St. Petersburg were firmly under Omega's control, Russia stretchef far beyond those two cities. To incorporate these far-away provinces, Omega created a centralized bureacracy, that would slowly expand as its power grew, until it he was finally able to effectively govern his nation. And with the bureacracy created, and the last of the dissenters quieted (Either through force or bribery) Omega was finally able to focus on his main goal: Rebuilding the army

(And then question Omega's sanity for the decision to move the capital from Moscow, which was a perfectly good spot, to someplace right on the border with people Russia will likely be at war with eventually;) )

And be astonished by the much more better news of Russia's army finally being rebuilt!
http://img351.imageshack.us/img351/9103/screensave8vz6.png
(This good news is also combined with teh wonderful news from PrinceScamp's department, where they have announced they have researched "Flying Circus" Doctrine. This would be much more impressive if not for the fact that the rest of the world had invented it over 20 years ago. And it would help if we actually knew how to make bombers. But that's for later!)

And then, gnash your teeth together at the sight of this upstart "Second in Command", who has angered Omega to the point where he cannot even write out a normal report, and instead must do it in this weird way!
http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/7564/aar4ah2.jpg

There's actually an event which will give me a choice of how I want the economy to grow, giving me the choice of choosing between industry (Which will give me alot of free factories, without me having to waste IC building them), military (Gives me free infantry, and alot of slider moves towards interventionism and hawk lobby) or agricultural (Which reduces dissent)
I'm not sure whether to go with industrial or military, though....

Weird Stuff Happening in the Rest of the World

-Ukraine chose Kruschev as their leader, and moved alot towards Syndicalism (The mods equivalent of communism)
-The Kingdom of Spain granted independance to Carlist Spain (Catholic dominated Theocracy that inhabits the northern part of Spain)
-The Combined Syndacists of America won the U.S. elections (Hooray, communist totalitarian state in America!) The Republic of California declared independance (California stretches from the west coast to Arizona.)
-Japan supported a coup in the Phillipines, that suceeded. Germany demanded naval bases. Japan refused. They're at war now.

A bunch of other stuff happened in the world at the time, but these things were the weirdest....

Well, within a few minutes of playing since my last post, the whole world went crazy. I'll try to reduce some of the confusion, but it was really crazygonutsness....
1) The Kingdom of Spain bans the Syndicalist party in Spain.
2) The Commune of France (Communist France that replaced old France) got angry at Spain, and declared war.
3) Ukraine and the Republic of Sicilies joined Commune of Franc'es war.
4) Germany declared war on Commune of France and they're alliance.
5) The Syndicalst party of Spain declared they're independance, forming some country with a name I can't pronounce or spell.
6) Northern Italy (Pope ruled Italy) declared war on the Republic of Sicilies.
7) Union of Britain (Communist England that replaced the UK) joined Commune of France's alliance in defense of Republic of Sicilies.
8) America First (Fascist party in the US) declared independence, taking most of the central US with them (The US is divided into three parts: The east is communist, the center is fascist, and the west is democratic. And it won't be long before they start killing each other)

Part 5: Industrial Might

Omega stared at his map of the world as dawn rose over the city of St. Petersburg. The war that had been expected for years had finally come. Syndicalism versus the world. Who would win was still much in doubt. In Italy, the Pope's forces raced down the peninsula, defeating the Sydnicalists in battle after battle, whilest also pushing through the Alps into the heartland of France. In Spain, whilest the battle lines were still fluid, neither side had the adequate forces to launch a powerful offensive. On the German-France border, WWI was repeating itself, which Omega found rather entertaining, seeing that neither country had learned their lesson from the war 20 years ago. And closer to Russia,k the Ukraine was gobbling up any nearby nation that had dared ally with Germany.
And while the rest of the world was killing each other, Omega was drawing up plans for striking at the weakend nations of the world. But Russia was still not ready. Omega had recieved numerous proposals from many people in the government on how best to rebuild the nation. After contemplating over his Big-Map-O-World-Domination, Omega finally decided.
Omega: "Secretary Person!"
Secretary Person: "Yes, Mr. President?"
Omega: "Send a memo to our Chief of Industries that I want nine new factories operating by tonight. We shall focus our rebuilding attempts on strengthening our industry."
Secretary Person: "Yes, Mr. President."

And here's a picture of the U.S. for any of you who might be curious:

More Weirdness From the Outside World!

-The Pope died. About a week later, a new pope was appointed. The Republic of Sicilies decided that, while they might be at war with the Papalcy, the new pope was a jolly good chap, and should be given their support. A few days later, they were driven off the peninsula by the forces of the papalcy.:crazyeye:
-The US declared war on California, completely ignoring the fact that there's another country in the way, meaning they can't actually fight California....:crazyeye:
-Ukraine keeps getting more land. The big brown blob on my map is starting to look kinda scary....
-The Entente (Which includes Canada, The Austrolasian Confederation (Australia and New Zealand) and Nationalist France (North Africa)) randomly declared war on Germany. German soldiers are having a jolly fun time slaughtering everything that moves in Nationalist France.
-France is slowly beating Germany.:crazyeye:
-The Papalcy is blitzing souther France.:crazyeye:
-The Kingdom of Spain looks like it might actually win the civil war.
-Hungary declares that it doesn't want to be friends with Austria anymore, and leaves the alliance, and loses it's puppet status. Austria is sad, but doesn't do anything, for some strange reason.
-England launches D-Day. In Denmark.:crazyeye:
-Everyone ignores Japan, even though they're winning against the German's asian allies.

So, a summary of this: The Germans are being pwned by the Commies. The Commies are being pwned by the Catholics. The Catholics are slaughtering everying they don't happen to fancy at the moment.

Part 6: BLITZKRIEG!!!!!!!!! :mwaha:

And so, on May 6th, 1937, Omega decided to celebrate the strength of the Russian airforce (Which, thanks to the nonstop research efforts by PrinceScamp to finally invent a plane that would actually fly, was actually pretty good) he agreed to hold a demonstration of the Russian army might. Omega was to observe a military excersise, that was supposed to demonstrate the strength of the Russian army. The excersise was simple: The Russian soldiers were to attack and capture a fixed enemy position. The enemy soldiers were watermelons on sticks. And so, the excersise began.

After 10 minutes of a vicious and bloody battle, the Russian soldiers were forced to retreat, after suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of the watermelons. Once Omega finally stopped laughing, he ordered his generals to go on a quest to find the most perfect doctrine of warfare, or else they'd be sent to the gulags. And so, his generals went to the far corners of the world in search of this fabled doctrine.

When the first general came back, he said to Omega, "President Omega, I have walked from one end of Russia to the other, asking the people where I could find the fabled doctrine. Eventually, their guidance led me to a cave in Siberia, where I found the 'Human Wave' doctrine, a doctrine of using our vast manpower to overwhelm the enemy. Whilest it is not pretty, it is efficient, and it would greatly please our people."
And Omega said, "This is a good doctrine that you have brought me. But let us wait for the other three generals first."
It was not long before the second general came, saying,
"Omega, I have searched across the battlefields of Europe, seeking the perfect doctrine. Eventaully, I found it in the highest mountain of the Alps, after having to fight my way past ogres, dragons, and telemarketers. It is called the 'Grand Battle Plan' Doctrine, and it says that the military should be controlled from a centralized authority. This doctrine is also the doctrine of the mighty European powers."
And the Omega smiled at him, and said, "This doctrine is even betterer than the last. But we shall wait for the remaining two generals before we decide."
A short while later, the third general came, and said,
"To find this doctrine, I went to the faraway land of America, where the sun always shines, the towels are o-so-fluffy, and commies run around shouting angrily at people who don't do what they tell them to. AFter much reading in the library of Congress, I learned of a doctrine hidden in a shipwreck off the coast of New York. After buying a yellow submarine from some British guys who sang really well, I traveled to the depths of the ocean, and retrieved the doctrine. It is the 'Superior Firepower' doctrine, and it believes that officers should follow their own initiative at the front."
And Omega smiled upon him, and said, "This doctrine is much more better than any I have heard before. But, while I doubt anything could beat it, we shall wait for the last general to come before my decision is finalized."
Finally, the fourth general came, and he said,
"President Omega, to find this doctrine, I travelled to Austria. There, I met a strange Austrian painter with a funny little Charlie Chaplin mustache. He gave me this doctrine, which he had had since he was a wee little child, saying he did not need it, as he was just an artist, with no intention of world domination at all. It is called the 'Spearhead', or 'Blitzkrieg' doctrine, and it calls for mobile warfare using armored spearheads and close air support."
And Omega smiled, and said, "This is by far the greatest doctrine I have ever heard. From this point forward, it shall the the official doctrine of the Russian people."
But the other three generals grew jealous of the winner, and spread dissent about the new doctrine throughout the common people, until exactly 10% of Russia was dissatisfied. But Omega would not change his mind, and thus, the Russian Blitzkrieg was born.

Another Chapter in the Crazy Wars of the Outside World
-Hungary and Bulgaria joined forces to kill people in the Baltics. Greece, Serbia, and Romania no longer exist. Austria continues to do nothing.
-My prediction that commies would be pouring into California turned out to be wrong. Californians are pouring into Commie-US.
-Ukraine has basically killed everything. That little white country, and the little orange country next to it are now gone. It's advanced a bit into Germany, too.
-The Kingdom of Spain somehow is surviving, even though they only have one province left, by using the strategy of capturing an enemy province the same second they're last province is captured. This is annoying those commies in Spain alot.
-The pope's forces were driven deep into Italy by French forces. But then God struck them down with lighting, and Italy captured all of Western France. But now France has encircled the majority of the Pope's armies, so I have no idea what's going to happen now....
-Carlist Spain has captured alot of French provinces near the Spain-France border.
-Germany finally stopped the French advance, and has driven the French army to the gates of Paris.
-Germany annexed Nationalist France, so now the majority of Africa is either under direct German control, or under one of Germany's puppets.
-Japan continues in its desperate attempt to get some attention from the rest of the world by singlehandedly defeating every army within a thousand miles of them. This plan has failed, and now, while the Japanese rule a big chunk of Asia, still no one cares about them.

Part 7: Return of the Tsars

With the rest of the world gone mad, the people of Russia demanded someone who could protect them. Not a president, but a Tsar. A group of high ranking nobles in the government gathered together, and wrote a petition asking for Omega to appoint a new Tsar. Surprisingly, Omega accepted instantly. The people of Russia began to wonder, who would Omega proclaim as Tsar? Would he return the Romanovs to power? Would he put one of his henchmen on the throne, so he could control him? But the no one in the world could have expected the person he chose....

It seemed as if the whole population of St. Petersburg had shown up for the coronation. Most had come to see if the rumors of who Omega had chosen were true, as they couldn't believe what their ears had heard. And then, a hush fell over the crowd. Leading the procession was SuperBeaver and his elite Minister of Silly Walks Division, who probably had the most unique way of marching in the world. Following behind them were the less known divions of the Russian army. The soldiers looked nothing like the untrained peasants they had been before. Now they were the elite of Russia, and quickly becoming the best trained, organized, and equiped army in the world. Overhead, squads of planes did loops and other tricks and stuff (It would have been more impressive if it weren't for the fact that the few planes flying up there were the entire Russian air force). And then, came Omega. Flanked by an honor guard of soldiers from the Ministry of Silly Walks, he walked to the newly constructed throne. There he knelt before the Patriarch, who raised a crown in the air, and gave a short speech (No one really understood the speech, but later on it was agreed that it had been a jolly good speech, filled with impressive sounding words like "Reign", and "Autocracy", and "pwn teh n00bs") Then, the crown was placed on Omegas head. And a cheer went up from the crowd,
"LONG LIVE THE TSAR!!!"

Tsar Omega sat on his throne, twirling his crown around on his finger. If he'd realized that being Tsar would be this boring, he'd have stayed President.
Announcer-Man: "The envoy from the Don-Kuban Union!"
Omega rose to his feet and extended his hand to the envoy. Then his mouth dropped open in amazement as the envoy went on his knees and bowed to him.
Envoy: "My majesty, in the past, we Cossacks faithfully served the Tsar. Now that he has returned, we wish to once again serve you. You need only give the word, and we shall give the entire control of our country to you."
Omega smiled. "I accept."

Part 9: Faith and the Nation

Madness seemed to further engulf the world as Turkestan declared war on their northern neighbors Alash Ada. Omega declared that only Russia could bring order and stability to Central Asia, and declared war on both sides. The Russian army defeated all that opposed them, even though they were often outnumbered (Proving this ain't the Russian army of da past. Dis be da Russian army of da Blitzkriegness!!!!) The only thing that slowed down their advance was the terrible terrain and weather conditions that hampered the Russian army at every turn.
Omega then made another unexpected move when he gave Faith and Nation, a popular Orthodox religious group, the official support of the Russian government. Many said that Omega was crazy, but he had un plan....

Part 10: Trans-Siberian Railroad

When Omega first proclaimed his intentions of officially supporting Faith and Nation, most of the world thought he was insnane. They stopped laughing when Faith and Nation groups started appearing in Orthodox countries all over Europe. In Georgia and Ukraine, both Syndicalist nations that called religion "The opiate of the masses", attempts were made to destroy the Orthodox groups. But the Faith and Nation fought back, and soon guerrilla warfare had broken out in the nations. Russia made a declaration of protection over all Orthodox peoples in Ukraine and Georgia, and Omega sent letters to the leaders of the nations, simply saying, "Once the war in Central Asia is over, I shall come for you."
Georgia attempted to forestall Omega's wrath by replacing their Syndacist government with one more friendly towards the Tsar, but Omega declared that Georgia was rightful Russian lands, and he would have it, no matter what.
Meanwhile, in Central Asia, things remained relatively calm, with Russian forces steadily pushing deeper into enemy territory. And then some really bad stuff happened.

http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/2073/aar8er3.jpg

Omega was furious about this, and demanded full control over Russian lands in Mongolia and Tanna Tuva. At first it seemed like the Mongols would refuse, but then they noticed the massive Russian army on their border. Russia gained full control of the railroad, and many people in Russia did the happy dance.

Okay, I'm just gonna step back from gameplayness, and give a summary of what the fruit salads going on.

Major Powers
Germany and it's allies: While Ukraine may have swallowed most of Germany's European allies, with France defeated, the situation in Europe is clearly German-dominated. Africa is almost entirely controlled by either Germany or their allies. In Asia, almost all German possesions have been lost to Japan, but still, no one, not even the Germans, seem to really care.

Catholocism: Who woulda thought that the pope would be one of the most powerful rulers in the world during the 20th century? Italy controls the entire peninsula, and a good chunk of France. Carlist Spain, while still not controlling all of Spain, also has a good chunk of France under it's belt. Not really sure what's going to happen, but with Russia going Orthodox, it looks like religion might be the dominant force of the world.

Russia: Sure, we haven't fought in any major wars yet, but we've got freaking BLITZKRIEG! And if you ignore the inadaquecy of our navy and air force, we've got a freakin-awesome military. And for once, I wasn't defeated by Mongolia.:)

Minor Powers
Syndicalists: Haha, the commies are losing! I really don't see any way they can pull themselves out of this pit they dug for themselves..... The only nation in their alliance with any real power is the Ukraine. Sure, there are syndicalists in Spain and America, but neither of them are part of the alliance. So unless a miracle happenes, communisms gonna die.

Japan: Only reason it's a minor power is because everyone's ignoring it. The way it's military is looking, it could probably slaughter us all with one hand behind it's back, but right now it's busy grabbing unimportant tiny islands in the Pacific, so we should be safe.

California/USA: I'm really not sure which one's winning the war. California's gained the most ground, but America's been doing alot of encirlements. If the US wins, it'll be a communist superpower (And, with things going the way they are, probably the only communist country left). If California wins, it'll be some minor power no one cares about.

Other Places that no one cares about
Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, and all those other places: With the Austria-Hungary empire divided, they've gone from pretty strong alliance to a bunch of really weak nations. I'm expecting them to start killing each other any time now. Either that or they just keep stareing at each other angrily.

South America, The Middle East, South Africa: Nothing important has happened here at all. It's getting kinda boring....

Part 11: Zhukov

June, 1938, Dawn: Battlefields of Central Asia

Lt. General Zhukov let his mind wander as he led his tank division through the the deserts of Central Asia. They had recently recieved the news of Russia's reclamation of the Trans-Siberian Railroad. It meant little to him, but apparently Omega had turned it into a massive political victory, using it to get rid of all the dissent against his rule. That news had been followed more news from Faith and Nation, where apparently it had created an Orthodox government in Bulgaria. They had offered an alliance to Russia, but Omega gave them the same answer he'd given Georgia: "Your lands shall be mine soon." After receiving Omega's not-so-friendly reply, Bulgria, seeming to follow the logic that Russia can't invade them if they've been wiped off the face of the Earth, declared war on Germany. In all the excitement going on, the annexation of Alash Orda had been all but overlooked. This irked Zhukov; Not because he wanted personal glory, but because if the victory had been highly publicized, it would have forced Omega to start sending fresh divisions to the front. But the Tsar's eyes had turned westward, and all new divisions were being deployed on the Ukrainian border, leaving Zhukov to have to fight a war on a large front with only a few scattered and disorganized divisions. And with the nearest airbase hundreds of miles away, air support was out of the question. Not even Blitzkrieg tactics could speed up the crawling advance: Armoured spearheads either bogged down due to the terrible terrain, weather, or from from facing forces that far outnumber them without any support at all.
Driver: "Movement ahead, behind the sand dune."
Zhukov instantly snapped out of his reverie.
Zhukov: "Load HE round." And then, into his radio, "Movement reported in sector K17. All units stay alert."
Then over the dune came a wall of Turkestanian soldiers, shouting in words that Zhukov did not fully understand, but was able to comprehend enough to realize that they were not asking for a teaspoon of sugar.
Zhukov: "Fire HE round!"
The tanks gun belched fire, followed by the guns of the other tanks. Enemy soldiers bodies were thrown by the explosions, but they still came forward. Bussinesslike voices started coming out of Zhukovs radio.
"Enemy attack in sector K12."
"Enemy counter-attack in sector D16."
"Enemy has launched flanking manouver in sector F22."
"Enemy has advanced and captured sector A12."
Zhukov, trusting his crew to be able to fight without him giving orders, started talking back into his radio.
Zhukov: "Sector K12, hold the line. Sectro D16, keep up the attack. Sector F22, fall back to fallback position, and prepare for counterattack with reserves from F20. Any forces in the A sectors, try to avoid being encircled, and await for sector D16 to finish they're attack so they can give support."
Zhukov looked up from his radio just in time to see the enemy retreating. With a sigh, he tried to get into a comfortable position on his seat. Just another normal day in Turkestan.

Part 12: Meeting with the Tsar

Tsar's Palace, St. Petersburg: Augiust 15, 1938.

Lt. General Zhukov stared at the clock on the wall. He'd been waiting in the room for well over an hour, with nothing to watch but the clock and the secretary (Who, probably due to being hated by his parents, was named Secretary Person) look at little pieces of paper, then write things down on other little pieces of paper. It made no sense to Zhukov, that they would rush him from Georgia almost the minute the fighting ended, only to make him wait for such a long time to actually meet with the Tsar. Zhukov looked back at the clock. 5 more minutes had passed.
As Zhukov stared despondently at the clock, the door to the Tsar's office was thrown open. Out from it stormed someone who looked like a diplomat. He was obviously not very happy. After he had left, Secretary Person poked his head into the Tsar's office and had a whispered conversation. When he came back out, he said, "The Tsar shall see you now."

The Tsar's office was very different from what Zhukov had pictured in his mind. It looked more like Omega's old Minister of Security office than an office of the Tsar.
Omega: "Have a seat."
Zhukov sat down on the hard wooden chair. Rumors of the Tsar's sudden "interest" in the command structure of the army flooded his mind. There had been talk of special reassignments for those who had fallen out of Omega's favor....
Omega studied the paper before him for some time before finally speaking again.
Omega: "So, you lead the Central Asian front during the war with Alash Orda and Turkestan. You did very well there.... You were able to defeat both countries without all those divisions you kept asking me for. And then you were sent to Georgia, where you commanded three infantry divisions during the brief fighting there, correct?"
Zhukov: "Yes, sir."
Omega: "I have read some of your theories on warfare, and I must say, I am very...."
Zhukov braced himself. Omega was going to say something like "displeased", and then Zhukov would be "reassigned"...
Omega: "... impressed with your ideas. So, I am creating three armored divisions to be put under your control for the Ukranian front."
Zhukov stared in utter amazement. Three armored divisions? No more having to use cavalry and infantry to support his attacks? But when he finally came out of shock, a question popped into his head.
Zhukov: "Ukranian front?"
Omega: "Oh, yes, I haven't told you yet. As soon as we've got enough men on the border, we're attacking Ukraine. The plans are on that map on the wall. I trust they meet with your approval?"
As Zhukov looked at the map, a grin slowly came to his face. It seemed as his his dreams were finally starting to come true.

Japan offered an alliance in exchange for control of the Transmur Republic, and giving me claim over alot of Asia, but I refused cause I don't want to be in alliance with someone at war with Germany. part 13: The Ukraine War

Since the start of the Ukraines annexation of Germany's eastern allies, the eastern front had been a bloody stalemate, resembling the trenches of the Great War. This had continued for years, with Germany only making small gains, which were often retaken only a few days later. But this would all end when, on March 1, 1939, Russia launched a surprise attack at the Ukraine. Russian forces destroyed all opposition in their path, slaughtering thousands of Ukrainians with their massive amounts of tanks, planes, artillery, and infantry. Within a month, the Ukrainian army had been broken....

Northern Ukraine: March 12, 1939

Lt. General Zhukov had a mad grin on his face as his tanks drove across the Ukraine. The whole campaign in the north so far had been a total rout. Nothing that was sent against his three armoured divisions could even hope to slow them down. It wasn't very rare for the retreating enemy divisions to be caught by his tanks before they even had a chance to reorganize. And just up ahead was another of those divisions....
Zhukov: "Fire an HE round in the center. Driver, run down anyone we happen to catch up with."
Shells and machine gun fire tore through the ranks of disorganized Ukrainians. Within minutes, the whole division was either dead, or surrenduring. Zhukov laughed as he drove past the shattered remnants of the division. This was alot better than the deserts of Asia!

Central Ukraine: March 18, 1939
Sergeant Yuri fired his last round at the retreating enemy.
Yuri: "I need more ammo!"
A nearby officer tossed him another clip, which he put into his rifle and started fireing again the the enemy. As he was about to ask for another clip, his eye caught an enemy fighter, coming right at the officer who'd given him the ammo.
Yuri: "Watch out, sir!"
Yuri tackled the officer to the ground right as bullets hit where they'd both been standing just moments ago. He looked up in time to see the plane shot down by a Russian interceptor (Most likely PrinceScamp's, judging by the Green Llama painted on the side) Yuri got back on his feet, helping the officer up.
Officer: "Thank you, Sergeant. I guess I owe you."
There was something oddly familiar about the officer, but Yuri couldn't figure out what it was at first. When he did, his jaw dropped, and he immediantly leaped to attention.
Yur: "Yo..You... You're Majesty! I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you! I didn't mean to tackle you! Please don't arrest me!"
Omega laughed at Yuri's discomfort.
Omega: "I'm not going to execute you for saving my life. You'll actually probably get a medal. Now stop standing there and hurry up! They're getting away!"
Yuri: "But... You're majesty! It is not safe! You should be back at the palace!"
But Omega had already run far ahead. Yuri sighed, and ran after him. Someone had to make sure the Tsar got back home in one piece.

End of the War

After Russia's shocking breakthroughs in the beginning of the war, the rest of the fighting was rather anticlimactic. The Russian air force in the area, oftentimes directly under the control of PrinceScamp, took credit for the destruction of 3 whole infantry divisions, without any land support at all. It's not known how many enemy divisions Zhukov's three tank divisions encirlced and destroyed, but estimates are as high as 10. Even Omega's personal army destroyed at least two divisions, even though it saw much less fighting than it had in the earlier days of the war (They're entirely infantry and cavalry, which can't keep up with tanks, so the front kept getting farther and farther away....)
Even the German's helped out in the war, and a joint German-Russian attack destroyed 10 divisions (The enemies entire garrision of Belarus)
The war lasted two whole months. It could have been much shorter, as Russia took control of all the strategic provinces in just over a month, but Omega insisted on continuing the fighting, saying something about Zhukov only needing a few more Experience Points to get to Skill Level 5 (When the war ended with Zhukov only 7 points away from that level, Omega went into a deep deppression that only ended when he was reminded that there were plenty of remaining people left to kill that could give him the necessary experience)
So with the war in Ukraine over, and with Britain being the only Syndicalist power left to keep up the fight against everyone who doesn't like communism (Which would appear to be the whole world), all eyes turned towards Russia, to see what it's next move would be....

Part 14: Naval War

Since Russia's declaration of war on Ukraine, the Union of Britian had launched a series of Carrier strikes on Russia's ports and airfields in St. Petersburg. Omega, who held a very pessimistic view about the quality of the Russian Navy, refused to allow the ships in St. Petersburg to give chase. But the month of September would see the greatest naval battle in the history of mankind....

St. Petersburg: September 29, 1939

Captain Alexei watched as the British planes flew back towards the Gulf of Finland. Yet another British raid on St. Petersburg. It wasn't even as like the planes ever did anything. They just flew around a bit, occasionally blew something up, then flew away. The raids seemed more like attacks on the navies moral than on the port itself. As he walked back to his cabin, a young pilot ran into him.
Pilot: "So-so-sorry sir! Didn't see you! Um.... Would you happen to know where I can find the Vice Admiral?"
Alexei: "The Vice Admiral? Sure, I'll show you where he is. What's with all the rush?"
Pilot: "I fly one of the recon planes, sir, and when I was flying over the Gulf of Finland, I saw that there was only a single carrier out there! No escorts of any kind! If we attack now, we might destroy it before the rest of the British fleet can catch up!"
Alexei didn't need any further convincing. In seconds, him and the pilot were sprinting across the ship, to get the the Vice Admiral.

Gulf of Finland: September 30, 1939

Captain Alexei grinned to himself as the sun rose over his battlecruiser. Today would be the day the Russian Navy finally proved its worth.
Sailor: "Ship sighted!"
Alexei ran with the rest of the crew to the railing, and saw the lone carrier trying to make it's escape. But there would be no escape now.
Alexei: "Everyone, to there positions! We're gonna catch that carrier, and make it pay for all the raids against us!"
Sailor: "Sir! More ships spotted ahead! Er... And aft! And starboard! And port! We're surrounded!"
Alexei: "IT'S A TRAP! (http://www.sixmonthsofsolitude.org/images/akbar1.jpg)"

Gulf of Finland: October 15, 1939

PrinceScamp surveyed the chaos beneath him as he flew above. The battle had been going on for 15 days, with neither side willing to give an inch. It had gotten to the point where Tsar Omega had moved three squadrons of planes to assist, under the command of PrinceScamp himself. But as long as the British had that blasted carrier, they could match Russia in the skies. But that was going to end today. PrinceScamp had already lost numerous planes in attacks on the carrier, but this time, he was going to personally command the attack.
PrinceScamp: "We're launching our attack run! Form on me!"
Instantly, 6 planes formed on PrinceScamp's wings as they flew towards the carrier. The intense flak fire from all the ships underneath knocked out 4 of the planes within minutes, leaving only PrinceScamp and two wingmen to destroy the carrier.
Wingman 1: "We've got enemy fighters behind us!"
PrinceScamp: "Stay on target."
Wingman 1: "They're closing in!"
PrinceScamp: "Stay on target."
Wingman 1: "I can't shake them! I can't-ARGH!"
The plane to PrinceScamp's right exploded in a fiery ball, and fell towards the sea. Bullets zoomed by his plane, barly missing.
Wingman 2: "My propellors damaged! I'll be no good to you out here."
And then wingman 2 flew back to base, leaving PrinceScamp alone to destroy the carrier. He evaded the bullets as best he could.
Unknown British Pilot: "The Force is strong with this one...."
PrinceScamp checked his targeting computer to see how far away the carrier was. Then, he heard the Tsar's voice speaking to him....
Omega: "Use the force, PrinceScamp!"
PrinceScamp looked out the window at the carrier, then back to his targeting computer.
Omega: "Let go!"
PrinceScamp gave one final look through his targeting computer, then shut it off.
Radio: "You've turned off your targetting computer. Is everything all right?"
PrinceScamp: "Yeah, I'm fine."
Then, a bullet hit PrinceScamps wing. He could still fly, but evasive actions would damage the plane only more....
Unkown British Pilot: "I have you know."
Just them, bullets flew out from above, shooting down the three British planes.
"Yeehoo!"
PrinceScamp: "Kan? Chewie? Is that you?"
Kan: "You're all clear, kid! Now lets blow this thing and go home!"
PrinceScamp dived towards the carrier. Seconds away from crashing into it, he released his bomb and pulled out of the dive. The bomb hit the carrier, and it sank to the bottom of the sea.

(PrinceScamp's destruction of the British Carrier)

Gulf of Finland: November 11: 1939

Alexei: "FIRE!"
The guns of his battlecruiser launched tons of highly explosive shells into the enemy destroyer, causing a massive explosion that sank it to the dephs. Alexei's feeling of joy was quickly cut short when an explosion rocked the ship.
Alexei: "What hit us?"
Sailor: "On the starboard side! Enemy battleship!"
Alexei's face paled. A battleship.... Not one of the ships in the entire fleet could hope to defeat one of those in open combat. He needed to think of a plan....
But before he could, another explosions knocked him off his feet.
Sailor: "Sir! Part of the ships caught fire! We can't take another hit like that!"
Alexei slowly got back onto his feet. Someone had to stop that ship before it sank the whole fleet....
Alexei: "Hard to starboard!"
Sailor: "But sir.... We'll be heading straight for it!"
Alexei: "You heard me! Now turn this ship!"
The ship tilted dangerously to its side as it turned to face the battleship.
Sailor: "What now, sir?"
Alexei looked at the sailor. There was a mad gleam in his eye.
Alexei: "RAMMING SPEED!"
http://www.markchurms.com/Merchant2/graphics/reign-l.jpg
(The last ride of Alexei)

Gulf of Finland: December 2, 1939

Captain Gregory looked around from the top of his surfaced submarine, seeing what was left of the Russian fleet. It wasn't much. Only a handful of surface ships were left. The rest were submarines, and most of them were in pretty bad condition. The British fleet, on the other hand, still had enough strength left to continue its dominance over the seas. There were even rumors of a single British battleship that still survived. If that was true, then any hope for a Russian presences on the seas now or in the future were crushed. It looked as if this battle was going to end in a failure....
Sailor: "Sir, the Vice Admirals on the radio. He wishes to speak with you."
Sighing, Gregory went belowdeck. His men waited nervously. Was the Vice Admiral going to admit defeat? Would the honor of the Russian Navy be lost forever?
But when Gregory came back up, his depression was gone.
Gregory: "Everyone, to your stations! Prepare to attack!"
Sailor: "What? Attack? The sea is full of British ships!"
Gregory: "Well, that just gives us a bigger target to shoot at! Now stop gawking! Get moving, right now! The Vice Admirals ordering the whole fleet to attack, so we can do as much damage to the British as we can!"
And with that, the Russian fleet charged at the British.

The Battle of the Gulf of Finland was the greatest naval battle of all history. Lasting from late September to early December, it is also the longest. The battle ended with both the Russian and British fleets completely crippled; both saw their entire above-water fleets destroyed, leaving them with only submarines. The Russian fleet itself was reduced to only 3 flottillas of submarines. But what is truly amazing is the fact that the Russian fleet, which was only half as large as the British, and which had very little training and using outdated ships, was able to do so much damage to the obviously superior British. In recognition of their heroism, and as a way to admit he was wrong about the uselessness of the navy, Omega gave every sailor who had participated in the battle, whether alive or dead, some form of medal, and ordered for plans to reconstruct the fleet to be drawn up immediantly. But what truly amazed the people of Russia (And got movie directors fighting for the rights to make a movie about the battle) was the sailors who fought in the battles willingness to sacrifice their lives. Alexei's ramming attack, the charge of the shattered renmnants of the Russian fleet to the obviously superior British one, these became icons for Russian people everywhere, filling them with nationalist pride. Which fell perfectly into the plans of Omega....

Part 15: Proclamation of the Tsar

It had long been known that Tsar Omega planned to expand the borders of Russia but the extent that he planned to do so was not fully understood, until he gave his famous "Christmas Speech", where he told the Russian people just how far he had decided to expand. His plan to reclaim all territory previously under the Russian Empire was met with much enthusiasm, his idea to expand into all Orthodox and Slavic territories, not so much. But it was what he said next that truly shocked people. He planned to take the territory of the old Byzantine Empire, and reclaim Russia's title as The Third Rome. Russia would extend from Alaska to Hungary, from the Arctic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. The greatest empire in all history was about to be born....

(Here's some pictures of the territory I'm claiming. Light green is Russian held territory, dark green is stuff I'm claiming, white is neutral, red are enemies.)

Yeah, we'll be fighting all those people eventually. I'm gonna try to pick on the weaker countries, and conquer them before I go for any of the stronger nations.
And from what Omega can tell, Russia's industrial power is equal, or even greater than Americas.

Part 16: The Winter War

On January 1st, 1940, Omega decided to give Finland a Happy New Years gift of a declaration of war. On that same day, they declared war on Azerbaijan, but no one really cared about that. While the war in Azerbaijan went easily, with Russia winning every battle, Finland provided the fiercest resistance Russia had faced to date. Russia was used to being outnumbered and surrounded, but not used to facing an enemy with more mobility than them. Russia would drive the Finnish forces back, only to find themselves outflanked and surrounded. Even after two months of fighting, the only forces who experience any success were General SuperBeaver's Ministry of Silly Walks and Mj. General NuclearKid's tank division, who together, along with the help of another tank division run by some guy who no one care about, encirlced and destroyed 3 Finnish divisions. Even the newly promoted General Zhukov couldn't drive the enemy back.

February 30, 1940

Mj. General NuclearKid looked bleakly at what was left of his tank division. Another failed attack had left his division weak and disorganized. The blitzkrieg that had happened in Ukraine was sadly absent here.
Random Tank-Guy: "Sir! Enemy infantry ahead!"
Out from the woods came hundreds of Finnish infantry, screaming as they charged towards the tanks.
NuclearKid: "Everyone, open fire! Radio-Man, what's air recon say about this?"
Radio-Man: "We're facing 4 divisions from the south, and another 3 from the north! All nearby friendly divisions are already occupied!"
NuclearKid: "We'll hold them off for as long as we can!"
Hundreds of Finnish soldiers died as they charged at the tanks, but even more came. Tanks were swarmed by hundreds of soldiers, who would climb on top, throw open the hatch and kill the soldiers inside. Finally, with almost the entire divisions destroyed, NuclearKid ordered the retreat.

Part 17: Death From Above

The disater in Finland was finally stopped when Mj. General Nuclearkid, with the famous words, "Okay, now I'm pissed!" ordered his division to take "Not one step backwords!". Attack after attack was thrown at his division, but NuclearKid threw them all back, until finally the Ministry of Silly Walks broke through in teh south and relieved NuclearKid. With their forces in the south broken, and with Zhukovs newly made breakthroughs in the north, it was only a matter of time before Finland was annexed. On April 4, 1940, Finland was officially annexed into Russia (Once again, Omega waited longer than necessary to annex for the sake of giving his generals experience.)

In the Caucus, Azerbaijan was finally annexed. Armenia quickly followed. The Ottoman Empire, seeing a threat to its northern border, declared war. The forces in the Caucus were very disorganized from the nonstop fighting they had been doing, and were driven back by the fresh Ottoman soldiers. The plane squads from Finland were sent to provide air support, and Zhukov drove as fast as he could from Ukraine, leading the worlds first "Armor-Only" army (8 armored divisions and an HQ.), hoping that he would get there in time....

The Caucus: April 15, 1940

Through the mountain passes, hundreds of Ottoman troops charged at the Russian soldiers. The Russians fought hard, but after fighting for months nonstop, they were in no condition to fight against the hordes of soldiers sent against them. But over the horizon, like an avenging angel, came the Russian air force.
PrinceScamp: "The Ottomans have no air support, so I want everyone to dive-bomb them! Kill every one of them!"
Hundreds of Russian planes flew from the sky, shooting and bombing everything that moved. The unsuspecting Ottomans were torn to pieces. In a few hours, all the attacking divisions had been destroyed.

While the initial Ottoman gains had been impressive, their advance was completely stopped with the arrival of teh Russian air force. Whole divisions were copmletely wiped out by the massive bombardments launched by the Russians. When Zhukov arrived, nothing could stand against the combined forces of Zhukov's armor and PrinceScamps bombers. By September (AKA, when the game suddenly crashed on me....) Istanbul had fallen, and the Ottomans had been almost entirely driven out of Turkey.

Part 18: End of the Ottoman War

When Turkey fell, the Ottoman Empire fell apart. The few divisions that could be made to fight back were quickly destroyed. Only Omega's mercy (And his desire to start focusing on more important matters, like actually taking all that land he'd claimed) saved the empire. But the Ottoman Empire could no longer hope to threaten anything anymore. The Empire was reduced to a few desert provinces in the Middle East, and no longer had the industry to support the large army it once had. The war also saw the creation of three new countires: Turkey, Cyprus, and Lebanon, all of which were Russian puppets. With their southern flank secured, Russia began to prepare for the wars in Europe it would need to reclaim it's land.

(The Middle East. Turkey and the Ottoman Empire are the same color, so it's kidna hard to tell them apart....)

Part 19: The Balkans

Russia's war against Bulgaria was another example of how the WWI tactics that most nations used were no match for the blitz. Planes bombed retreating divisions, tanks punched massive holes in the enemy lines, and motorized infantry encircled and destroyed entire corps. Seeing the success of the Russian military, Turkey, Cyrpus, and Lebanon all joined a military alliance with it. With this alliance behind him, Omega felt confidant enough to demand that Hungary surrendure it's entire nation to Russia. While resiliant at first, Hungary finally caved in after threats of war, giving Russia control of all it's territory. Croatia, no longer under the protection of Hungary, was quickly invaded and conquered.

The War Room: January 1st, 1942

Omega: "Okay, a brief review. The voluntary annexation of Albania and Bosnia gave us control of the Balkans, but Austria's joining with the German alliance threw apart any plans for further advance in the region. The war in Sweden is going well, with a mixed force of infantry and tanks attacking from the north, and the Ministry of Silly Walks from the south. Only thing that keeps slowing us down is the lack of usable airfields nearby. Now we just need to decide what to do next. We're already planning to invade Norway and Denmark to keep Britain out of the Baltic. We're also definitly going to invade the Ottomans as soon as our peace treaty expires. But beyond this, we need ideas. We have a strong force on the Persian border, but I'm unsure whether we should attack before or after we finish the Ottomans. There's also a question of if we should launch any invasion in Asia. Afghanistan looks like a nice target, but should wait for Persia to fall. We have claims in the far east, but we'll have to fight Japan for control of them, and I want a good strategy for fighting the Japanese before I start a war with them.
Then we have Europe and Africa. We all know war with Germany's inevitable, but the question is when and how. As of now we don't have enough men to man our whole border with Germany and their allies. We'll need a strategy on fighting them before we attack, though. We can't garrison all of German lands, and there's no way we'll be able to get all their colonies in Africa and Asia, so the goal will be to get the land we claimed, and create numerous puppet states in Europe. Since Germany and their allies control most of Africa, any fighting in Europe will also lead to fighting in Africa. Our subs will keep supplies from going between the two continents, but we'll need a base in the Mediteranean if we want to launch any offensives. I'm suggesting Italy, since I doubt they'd be able to put up much of a fight with the majority of their forces keeping down partisans in France and Southern Italy. I'm also thinking of invading Egypt so we have a land route to the Suez Canal.
Then we have the Syndicalists. The Union of Britains the only one left in the alliance, but Spain and America are also Syndicalist, so they represent potential enemies. We'd need to do a massive naval build-up to take on Britain, seeing as even our newly rebuilt Russian fleet can barely scratch the British one. But this'll take some time, so we'll have to rely on our superior air force until then.
Okay gentlemen. Thoughts? Comments? Criticism? Anythings welcome."

Part 21: Scandinavia

Copenhagen, Denmark: March 9, 1942

In the darkness of night, SuperBeaver and his Ministry of Silly Walks crept across the sea to the city of Copenhagen. While the Ministry had not had a large role in the invasions of Sweden and Norway, it was going to spearhead the invasion of Denmark.
SuperBeaver *Whispering*: "Guns ready."
In unison, the soldiers of the Ministry turned off the safety on their guns. As the ships landed on the beaches, the soldiers silently crept off them. The sentries assigned to watching the beaches had their throats slit before they could raise the alarm. As the army reached the city itself, it scattered into smaller groups. SuperBeaver personally lead one squad that went straight towards the heart of the city, too a mansion with lights on, and sounds of celebration coming from inside. SuperBeaver crept up to the wall, and looked through a window. Inside were the Chief of Staff, Heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, the majority of Denmark's Officer Corp, and the Prime Minister himself. SuperBeaver didn't know or care what they were celebrating, but he intended to crash the party.
SuperBeaver: "Not long until the armor hits the beaches and air support arrives...."
Just then, thousands of planes dove from the sky, dropping bombs and fireing bullets into the sleeping city. In minutes, the entire city was engulfed in flames. SuperBeaver and his men watched in fascination as the city was torn apart.
SuperBeaver: "Bloody Kan, almost has to make a big entrance...."
SuperBeaver tore himself away from the spectacle, and got back to the job at hand. He threw a grenade through the mansion's window, then after the explosion, jumped inside. Most of the bodyguards had been killed by the explosion, and the ones still alive were quickly gunned down by SuperBeaver and his men. The surviving officers and government officials were captured. SuperBeaver led the men not busy guarding the prisoners back onto the streets of Copenhagen. Dannish soldiers were desperately trying to defend the city, but were no match for the superior Russian soldiers. SuperBeaver hid behind a wall as gunfire raked the street. A few Dannish soldiers had set up a roadblock, and were defending it with machine guns. SuperBeaver's men and the Danes exchanged fire for a few minutes with little effect, when a single Russian tank came and blew apart the whole roadblock. SuperBeaver and his men ran on.
In the air, a few Dannish planes were desperately trying to keep Russia out of the skies. But outnumbered 10:1, and with most of their planes destroyed before they even took off, it wasn't long before the sky was Russian-only.
After engaging in a few brief firefights, SuperBeaver reached the docks, where the Dannish division was trying to escape on the transport ships in dock. But as the ships got into open sea, the Russian navy, which had been hidden in the darkness, opened fire. Not one ship escaped the inferno.

The Battle of Copenhagen saw the complete destruction of the Dannish land, air, and sea forces. After that battle, it was only a matter of marching time to occupy the rest of the nation. With Denmark beaten, all the Scandinavian nations had been destroyed by Russian might. On March 17, 1942, Russia created the nation of Scandinavia, which would occupy all the lands of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

The Tsar's Palace, St. Petersburg: March 22, 1942

Tsar Omega stood at the podium of a room filled with reporters from around the world, and all trying to get his attention. After scanning the crowd, Omega pointed at one of the reporters with a question.
Report: "Tsar Omega, how do you justify your invasions of Persia and Afghanistan?"
Omega: "The Ottoman's surprise attack against Russia taught us many things. Mainly that we must keep a watchful eye on our southern border for any possible threat. Persia and Afghanistan were both friends of the Ottomans, and both were sending large amounts of troops to our border, no doubt for an invasion they planned to launch with the Ottomans. We had to launch a preemptive strike, and replace the government with a friendlier one to prevent this unholy alliance from taking place."
Omega selected another reporter.
Reproter: "Tsar Omega, why did you choose to keep a strip of Afghani land bordering India?"
Omega: "The Afghani government and army are still weak, leaving them wide open for an attack by imperialistic forces from India. Once the Afghani's are strong enough to support themselves, we will return the land to them."
Omega chose another reporter.
Reporter: "Tsar, with your peace treaty with the Ottoman's expiring in 16 days, do you plan to go to war with them?"
Omega: "All Russia and I desire with the Ottoman's is friendship and peace *Omega's bodyguards tried very hard to keep themselves from smiling and laughing at that* and I hope that the Ottoman's feel the same. If, however, they choose to fight us, we will crush them like Russia has crushed all her enemies. That is all the questions I will be taking today. Thank you very much."

On June 9, 1942, only a day after the peace treaty between Russia and the Ottomans expired, the Russian government reported that a division of Ottoman soldiers had crossed the border, seized a radio station, and spread malicious propaganda against Russia. Whilest the Ottoman's fiercely denied this, it didn't stop Russia from declaring war.

The war was over in 5 days. The Ottoman army was completely crushed by the superior Russian forces. With the Ottomans gone, Russia divided the Middle East. The states of Iraq, Syria, and Palestine were created. All that was left for Russia to do to win the war would be to destroy the Ottoman's allies Tunisia and Libya.

The wars following the fall of the Ottomans were rather anticlimactic. Libya and Tunisia had depended entirely on the Ottomans for support, and with them gone, they were quickly defeated by the Russians, and had their old governments replaced by ones more friendly towards Tsar Omega. Intelligence reports at the time also showed that Egypt's army was very weak, so Omega immediantly launched an invasion, which ended quickly and bloodlessly. Egpyt was divided into two parts; in the south, the nation of Sudan was created. Russia kept Egyptian lands in the north, because the Tsar had said something about the Pyramids giving a free granary in every city, or some nonsense like that.;) During the Egyptian invasion, another invasion was launched in the Arabian peninsula, when Russian forces attacked Njed. Russia quickly triumphed, and replaced the old government with a friendly one. Njed actually benefited from the war, as Russia gave them the lands on the Arabian coast. With the Middle East mostly secure, Omega turned his eyes towards Europe....

Guard: "Sorry, but the Kaiser will see no one. He's excersising his moustache muscles."
Captain: "But I must see him immediantly! It's an emergency!"
Guard:"The Kaiser cannot be disturbed while excersising his moustache. Say, are you a fan of Chaplin?"
The Captain didn't bother replying, and instead pushed the guard out of the way and ran into the room, where Kaiser Whillhem II was lifting weights with his moustache.

Denmark

SuperBeaver and his Ministry of Silly Walks waited patiently on the Scandinavian-German border. After about an hour of sitting around, SuperBeacer checked his watch again.
SuperBeaver: "War's started by now. Open fire."
A single tank fired, destroying the shed that had been housing the German's entire border garrison. With it gone, the only German forces nearby had been obliterated. SuperBeaver waved towards the vast miles of open, ungaurded territory.
SuperBeaver: "Welcome to Germany, boys!"

Poland

NuclearKid: "FIRE!"
The entire division of tanks simultaniously fired at the Polish, destroying the last remnants of order left. With the enemy retreating, NuclearKid began moving forward again.
NuclearKid: "Bob, destroy that bridge there."
A tank fired on the bridge, collapsing it.
NuclearKid: "That's another 7 divisions we've trapped. How many is that so far?"

Omega led his army into the newly conquered city of Venice. The streets and canals of the city were strangely quiet....
Yuri: "Are you sure you should be out in the open, sir? This city is probably full of people who want to kill you....."
Omega: "Nonsense! We'll be greeted as liberators!"
Just then, a man with a gun ran out of a house, pulling out a pistol and aiming it at Omega.
Yuri: "Watch out, sir!"
Yuri fired three rounds into the gunmen before he could shoot at Omega.
Omega: "Wow, you just saved my life again. Have another medal."
Omega pulled a medal out of his pocket and pinned it on Yuri's shirt.
Yuri: "Sir, we shouldn't wear medals on the battlefield.... It attracts attention...."
Omega: "Nonsense! If every soldier in our army wore 100 medals, the enemy would be blinded by our shinyness!"
Yuri: "Whatever you say, Tsar...."

Skys over Austria

Kan and his numerous wings of dive bombers blackened the skies over Austria. Below, Austrian soldiers franticly dived for cover. But there would be no escape. The hundreds of dive bombers dived towards the enemy.
Kan: "KAAAAAAN!!!!!"
The ground exploded in firey explodyness, throwing the enemy into disarray.
Kan: "Ha! That'll teach them! Another battle won thanks to air power!"
Wingman 1: "....."
Wingman 2: "Should we tell him the actual fighting's miles away?"
Wingman 1: "Nah, let him have his fun."

Vienna

Zhukov: "Open fire! Don't let them get away!"
Despite under heavy fire from tanks, the Austrian soldiesr were able to hide inside a building before being killed.
Zhukov: "Take that building down!"
Other Tank Commander: "Sir! Enemy infantry behind us! They've taken out two tanks already!"
Zhukov: "Turn us around!"
A tank next to Zhukov exploded when hit by an anti-tank rifle, sending shrapnel that nearly took Zhukov's head off. An Austrian plane flew down, and shot up another tank by Zhukov.
Zhukov: "We're taking too many casualties! Get us out of here!"
Driver: "There's enemy soldiers in the way! What should we do?"
Zhukov: "We're in a tank! Just drive through them!"
And so, Zhukov and the remnants of his tank army barely escaped from the hellhole of Vienna.

I Really Quick Update Before I Get Back to Playing

Well.... I've played over a month in the game, and really should have updated sooner, but I've gotten so caught up in the war that I keep thinking, "Only a few minutes more, and then I'll update!" Somehow that few minutes more turned into a buncha hours....:crazyeye:
So anyways, I was able to drag myself from the game long enough to give at least a status report of whats going on.

-Declared war on, conquered, and released as puppet Yemen and Sianking.
-Somehow a German fleet got into the Med. and forced my transport fleet that was going to attack Malta to retreat back to Crete.
-Finally annexed all of Germanies Baltic State puppets.
-After losing a bajillion soldiers trying to take it, Zhukov finally captured Vienna. Austria was annexed a few weeks later when my personal army captured the last victory point thing.
-Zhukov proceeded to slaughter every enemy nearby, and almost singlehandedly annex Bohemia and Poland (Both had been really bloody stalemates up till then)
-SuperBeaver cut Germany in half, and captured Berlin.
-NuclearKid has seems to have encircled and destroyed half the enemy army in multiple small encirlements (I don't know how, but whenever I encirlce someone, Nuclearkid always seems to be leading it.... It's starting to freak me out how he seems to be everywhere at once....)
-PrinceScamp and Kan continue to kill everything that is underneath them.

And here be a picture:

Part 26: Fall of Germany

With their capital in enemy hands, and all their European allies defeated, the Germans lost all will to fight on. As the Russians rolled through Germany and France, Germans surrendured by the thousands, and the few that resisted were almost instantly wiped out. It wasn't long before all of Germany was occupied. And while Germany's colonies kept up the fight, the war was essentially over. With the fighting in Europe done, Russia gave Austria, Bohemia, Luxemburg, and Flanders-Wallonia back their independance, though they would remain Russian puppets. With Europe secure, it's suprising that Omega chose to invade the Netherlands, Oman, and Xibei San (I know I probably spelled that last one wrong....:mischief: ), but perhaps it was just becuase Omega likes to invade things. But even with all these wars going on around the world, Omega was still preparing for the next war against the last major European power: The Pope.

Skies over Dover: Early Morning, October 30, 1942

The massive swarm of Russian planes flew over the English countryside. The pilots inside all shared the look of grim determination. They had been given a job from the Tsar himself, to destroy the English air force, and gain complete air superiority over the island. And they were determined not to fail their Tsar.

Skies over Dover: Late Afternoon, October 30, 1942

The massive swar of Russian planes still flew over the English countryside, looking for enemy's to shoot down.
Ivan: "Gregory, seen any planes?"
Gregory: "Sorry Ivan, but no...."
Ivan: "Bugger this. We've been at this for a week and haven't seen a single blasted plane. 'Third strongest air force in the world', my foot. I'm going home."

Thus ended the Battle of Britain.

Well.... I have no idea what's going on. The world's gone completely insane (Mostly my fault:mischief: ) Europe's become a giant slugging match, where my blitzkrieg tactics have become useless. Only reason I'm still winning is cause I outnumber everything. From what I can tell:
-Crushed Italy and Carlist Spain. Released France and Italy as puppets.
-Africa's gone weirdlike: My Turkish puppets have captured some victory points, but the advance has stalled. My attempt to reinforce them has turned into a massive air/naval battle for control of stuff in the water.
-Invaded and puppeted Switzerland.
-The Netherlands launched D-Day in the Netherlands. And due to my lack of troops in the area, they're winning....
-Invaded Spain.

Aside from that, I've lost track of what's going on. I've got rebel uprisings in germany, random enemy beach landings all over Europe, and the English and German navies showing up wherever I seem to need them least....

Well, if your dissent is high enough that you're getting rebels, then there's no way you can hope to take on the other countires. As Russia, keeping dissent down for the first few years is top priority, because you get lots of dissent-increasing events, rebellions are common, and if dissent is too high, Soviet Union comes back and trys to overthrow you. Plus, high dissent means your soldiers fight worse, cause they no like you.
Also, don't declare war on anyone until you've got doctrines. The Russian army takes years to get it to be able to fight effectively, so don't go trying to invade random people until you're sure you have a military strong enough to take them down easily. Even Mongolia can be a hard-to beat enemy if they declare war on you in the first few years (Which they normally will do)

Sitka Alaska, February 13, 1943

A small crowd had gathered around the flagpole at the top of the hill in Sitka. It was the same site where, years ago, the Russian flag had been lowered, and the American flag raised after Russia sold its old colony. But now, the roles were reversed. There were tears in many of the American soldiers eye's as they solemly lowered their flag, and watched as Russian soldiers raised their own flag. Tsar Omega watched over the ceremony, his plane having arrived just in time for him to see the start. It had taken over a year of negotiations, but finally America had agreed to return control of Alaska to Russia. Omega would have liked to celebrate, but he had to get back on his plane so he could fly to the opposite end of the Earth to accept Spain's surrendure, and it's entry to the Russian Alliance. With Spain gone, all nations on Continental Europe would be defeated.

Part 30: Colonial Empire

Somewhere Deep in the African Jungle

In the deepest, darkest reaches of the African jungle, two men cut through the thick flora with incredible speed. The one in the lead looked like any other European explorer, dressed in traditional explorer garb, waving around a machette. But closer inspection revealed that it was in fact Kaiser Willhelm, grinning like a madman as he cut through the dense jungle. Following behind him was a man in a tattered and torn German captain's uniform, with a little paintbrush moustache, who was gasping for air as he desperately tried to keep up with the Kaiser.
Kaiser: "Come on, Adolf, you're falling behind! You don't want to miss the wonders of Africa, do you?"
Adolf: "I'd much rather be back in the palace than out in this bloody jungle...."
Kaiser: "What was that, Adolf?"
Adolf: "Nothing, sir. And why are we out here exploring, when the Russians are defeating us everywhere? They've defeated the Netherlands, and taken control of Indonesia, threatening our colonies in the Pacific! And they're making landings all over Africa, slowly taking control of the strategic locations! And you're out here exploring!"
Kaiser: "Adolf, we have generals to take care of that kind of thing! And I doubt we'd be able to beat Russia even with me leading the army, with us only having.... How large is our army again, Adolf?"
Adolf: "Three old men on bycicles and a dog."
Kaiser: "Exactly! We're probably going to lose no matter who's leading us, so we might as well enjoy ourselves! And this is much more fun than being Kaiser!"
Adolf: "Whatever you say, sir.... Oh, you'll want to take a left here. According to those people at the last village we past, if we keep going straight we'll run into cannibals."
Kaiser: "Did you say cannibals?"
Adolf: "Yes sir."
Kaiser: "WONDERFUL! I've always wanted to meet one! Come, Adolf!"
And with that, Kaiser Willhelm sped off deeper into the jungle, closely followed by his loyal retainer Adolf.

Denikin growled angrily at the soldier, then started shouting orders into his radio. He was going to show what happened to those who defied Russia. All nine of his divisions were going to attack, and raze the monastary to the ground.

Before him was the Ex-Ruler of MittleAfrika, Herman Goering, Ex-Kaiser Willhelm II, and Captain Adolf.
Omega: "Goering, you have been found guilty of these charges: Crimes against humanity, fighting against Russia, stupidity, being incredibly fat, prancing around in that silly uniform of yours, and being a disgrace to the human race. For your punishment, Russia is taking control of your entire nation, and you must take up the sport of Cross Country, and run until you lose some weight."
Goering: "Surely you can't mean that! That's far too harsh!"
Omega: "Be silent! I am Tsar!"
Goering: "grumble, grumble, you're not even a real judge, grumble, grumble"
Omega: "Willhelm II, you have been charged with fighting agianst Russia, and causing me many headaches as I tried to get every victory point you've got in all those tiny islands in the Pacific. You punishment is to be banished from Germany to Africa."
Willhelm: "Can I launch expeditions deep into the unexplored heart of Africa?"
Omega: "Sure, why not."
Willhelm grinned. He liked his punishment.
Omega: "And Captain Adolf. You are charged with the murder of six million Je.... Oh, sorry, wrong timeline. You're not charged with anything. Actually, we'd like to ask for you to rule Germany, with the Kaiser gone. With a moustache like your's, I'm sure you'd be a great leader."
Adolf: "I'm sorry, but my place is with my Kaiser."
Omega: "Fine then. We'll still need someone to rule Germany."
Omega briefly scanned the crowd. Then, he pointed at a random person in the middle.
Omega: "You! What's your name?"
"Me? Joseph Goebbels."
Omega: "Jolly good. You're ruler of Germany now. Court is adjourned."

Part 32: War in the Pacific

Following Germany's defeat, most of Russia looked forward to some time to relax, and prepare for the chaos that it was about to unleash upon the world. Even Tsar Omega took some time to go on vacation, and visit all the places he'd conquered (Inluding Tibet, which finally fell after months of holding off the Russian Army). At the time, the only part of the Russian armed forces active in combat was the air force, which continued to bombard England for the eventual invasion. The next target for Russia was still up to debate, so Omega compromised by increasing forces on all fronts. Transports were moved to France, and 50 divisions were kept in Paris waiting for the invasion of England. The armies that had captured Africa, along with the Turkish, Italian, Tunisian, Lybian, and Sudanese armies were redeployed to the borders of Somalia and South Africa. Russia's Middle Eastern and Asian allie's armies were sent to the borders of other minor Asian nations ripe for invasion. The majority of the European army was redeployed to the border with Japan and Manchuko. And Zhukov was sent to Alaska to prepare for an invasion of Canada.
At least, that's how Omega had planned for things to go. What actually happened was beyond anyone's predictions.

On May 18, Japan declared war on the Qing Empire, and the Russian Alliance. While at first this seemed a futile action, people soon realized how wise Japan had been to strike when they had. At the time, over half of the Russian army was redoploying, not only making them unusable for combat, but also taxing Russia's transport capactiy, making it very hard to supply troops at the front. Russia's best general and it's best army were in the middle of the Pacific, in an ungaurded transport convoy bound for Alaska. And Russia's Pacific colonies were guarded by just three divisions, all of whom were on a small island surrounded by the Japanese. The situation looked very grim for Russia.

Omega immediantly went to work to fix the problem. Despite supply problems, every division in the area was ordered to attack. Omega hoped that Russia's superior numbers, equipment, and training would overcome the lack of supplies. Zhukov was immediantly recalled, though it would take much of time for him to return. The Pacific Colonial guard was to break through the blockade, and reach any Indonesian island that they could find that wasn't threatend by an imminent invasion. Finally, Omega ordered that all other planned invasion preparations were to continue (except for the Canadian one). While this surpised most of his generals, Omega didn't want to use more of his transport capactiy trying to get his whole army to Asia, and decided they would use less resources where they were.

But even with all these preparations, the sitiation looked bleak. Japan had a far stronger navy, which could strike at any of Russia's defenseless colonies. Their air force, while slightly weaker than Russia's, could afford to focuse totally on Russia, whilest the Russian air force was spread across the world. And while Russia's army was far superior to the Japanese, it too was scattered across the world, and supply problems severly hampering it's ability to fight. The world held its breath as the two giants began to fight. Whether the world would be dominated by Russia or Japan depended entirely on this war....

Part 33: "Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent. I am attacking. "

Tsar Omega glared at the world map on his desk as if it had personally insulted him, then downed another shot of milk (Sadly, milk had proved ineffective at drowning his troubles, but army logistics were so messed up that not even the Tsar himself could get any vodka). To anyone else looking at the map, the situation would have seemed excellent for Russia. Manchuko had been annexed (Thus Russia finally had gotten all the land it had claimed), and Korea had been liberated. The Entente's declaration of war on the Russian alliance had given them the long awaited excuse to seized the last few Portugese colonies, and invade the state of Delhi. Russia's conquest of Somalia and South Africa made it the ruler of all of Africa. Zhukov had landed on the Japanese Home Islands. But for those more knowledge on the situation, things looked very bleak for Russia.
Canadian armies were attacking undefended Alaska, with only a few plane squadrons to resist them. The Canadian Navy, the strongest navy in the world, had been sinking everything they came into contact with. Russian army logistics were worse than ever; Few divisions recieved all the supplies they needed, Russia needed to supply not just their own army, but the armies of all their allies, and generals would disappear in the middle of a battle, only to reappear leading a division halfway across the world. The much publicized landings on the Home Islands were far less than they seemed. Zhukov had only landed on one of the tiny islands north of the main islands, and had made the landing out of necessity, not choice (The Japanese navy was chasing after the transport fleet his army was on, so they had to land at the first place they could find, which ended up being Japanese territory). The Japanese navy had crushed the Russian fleets operating in the Pacific, and Russia's Pacific colonies were left wide open for invasion. The mighty Russian air force had been swatted aside by the Japanese as if it were nothing; Omega could only hope that the reinforcements sent from Europe could save the situation in the skies. And the attempted invasion of Britain had been a bloody failure; Omega's generals agreed that it would take an entire year for Russia to be able to attempt another attack.
In short, the situation presented to Tsar Omega was not very good. The only place where Russia still held the advantage was on the ground, and Qing China was between Russia and Japan's mainland holdings.
Omega stared thoughtuflly at Qing China for some time. He remembered when General NuclearKid had been pressing for an invasino of China..... Well, it looked like he'd get his wish. Omega drew out paper and pen, and began writing the declaration of war to China. He would defeat Japan, no matter how many other nations he had to destroy in the process.

Part 34:Turning the Tide

At first, Omega's decision to attack everything in Asia except Japan produced much opposition amongst his generals. Wasn't Japan their main enemy? Shouldn't all efforts be focused against them?
But Omega's plan ended up succeeding far beyond anyone's expectations. The Blitz across India, destroying the three rival Indian nations plus Nepal and Bhutan ended with Russia gaining four new allies: The mighty nations of India and Pakistan (Which for some reason chose to go by the name of Delhi), plus the not so mighty nations of Nepal and Bhutan. The assualt on Qing China not only gave Russia a pathway into the heart of Japanese occupied China, it also allowed for Russia to begin destroying the Chinese warlords one by one. And in the Pacific, where Omega had long ago written off the three divisions defending it as doomed, hope had been revived. The three divisions, which had renamed themselves "Pacific Raiders", were under the leadership of the ingenious Captain "Captain". They had singlehandedly annexed Japans Phillipine puppet, and used the newly captured islands as a base to launch a guerrilla war across the seas.

While individually, these did not seem like momentuous events, put together, they spelled the end for the Japanese Empire. The Japanese air force, which had long enjoyed complete control of the skies, soon found their airfields being captured by the Pacific Raiders, and the survivors were quickly shot down by the fresh Russian squads sent from Europe. The Japanese Army was stretched thin trying to hold onto all their gains against the Russian Steamroller that was coming out of northern China, while also attempting to finish capturing Russia's colonies, and stop the Pacific Raiders. And the Japanese Navy, one of the strongest navies in the world, was stretched all over the Ocean, trying to hunt down the sub fleets that destroyed their transports, and stop the constant amphibious assualts launched by Zhukov and the Pacific Raiders. The situation left Japan very vulnerable, and they were only able to put up slight resistence when the Russian Marine Army landed on the Home Islands.

Omega Army HQ, Southern China: Midnight, January 1st, 1944

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

The cry was quickly taken up by everyone in the camp. Even the recently recruited soldiers from all those Asian countries Russia had "Liberated" joined in on the festivities.

Tsar Omega, Sergeant Yuri, and all the generals who had served in Asia (Including PrinceScamp, NuclearKid, and Captain. Sadly, Field Marshall Zhukov couldn't attend, as he was busy with the fighting in Alaska) stood on a hill overlooking a nearby village. From the village, fireworks shot into the sky, making a brilliant display.
Omega: "A Toast! To finally finding a way to get the Chinese to celebrate January 1st along with the rest of the world!"
And indeed they had. For on midnight, January 1st, China once again became its own nation. Word of this had spread like wildfire, and soon the whole nation was celebrating its new independence.
And all across the world, similar celebrations were taking place. The new year had come, and people began to hope that it might finally be the year when the wars that had been going on for seemingly forever might finally end. And with the Japanese Home Islands completely occupied, the Emperor on the run, Russian troops landing in western Canada, and the Caribbean Federation annexed, leaving Canada and Australasia as the only remaining members of the Entente, it was easy to see why they thought this.
But as they stood on that hill, watching the celebrations below them, the leaders of Russia could only wish that the coming times would be as easy as the people back home seemed to think they would be.
