This unit is my version of a generic Modern-era paratrooper. It is based off the marine, and uses Snafusmith's modern weapons pack for the G36.

I made a new version with the M16 and the navyseal as the base unit.

This is version A

Nice one... tho a helmet is more convincing in combat situations. ;)

i think that another version is in order. Perhaps based off the navy seals.

This is a great unit! Have you thought about making this, but minus the parachute? If you do, the kinda look like U.S. Air Force Pararescue.

Could the A wearing version use team color for the beray, that would look nice.

Very, very nice work. I'm especially glad some use is coming from the weapons pack. I was worried for a while.

Unfortunaly I dont have anything to edit .dds files with, I'm a code monkey not an artist :scan:

Before I get this unit... Can it really paradrop?

Not really, no. The unit will replace the marine or navy seal graphically. As of yet, no civ4 unit graphically paradrops, and you won't see the code for it public in a while.

Hi Garrett,

Can you provide specific instructions on how to install this unit in Warlords (1st Pack with the beret)? I'm reading Sovarn's installation guide and it seems outdated... adding to the confusion, you have so many files in the zip, I'm not sure where they are all supposed to go

It looks great! And I'll use it in my Mod, of course!

But can you give it a real paradrop animation? Is it possible to take the animation of the paratrooper from BTS and give it your new cool unit?

Thanks.

this unit does not use the paratroop animations...yet

so as is, it will work for vanilla.

Looks Good!!!
Call me old fashioned (which I am), I am happy playing the original version but am not opposed to updating the units. Will your Parra units work with the original??(pre BTS)

GarretSidzaka

this particular unit will work with any version of Civ4.
but when i add paradrop animations, it will only work with BtS. But this unit will stay unmodified, i will make a whole new unit and thread for the version that has the animations :)
