Before I put any of my time into this I wanted to get a few opinions....I was thinking of doing a joke comic strip thingy dealing with the mighty Civ3 Spearman in the game UT. Any ideas that you can come up with...that are funny...are appreciated. If you think the whole Spearman vs The World jokes are passe then please tell me so I don't waste the time.


Somethings I was thinking of putting into it:
Spearman killing a few of the UT guys/girls and saying choice words like: "Die *****!" and "I am the Alpha and the Omega" also instead of "whams"and "bams" I would have "Goooddddd Like" and "Unstopable". Just some ideas....I was grinning thinking about it and thought I would share.

It'll be great! I voted for allowing other games to be used as well because this could be an endless souce of comedy...

Don't just limit it to games!

I'd like to see spearman take on:

The Borg
Various Amine characters
Mario
Link (from Zelda)
The Final Fantasy villans
The SMAC Factions

And various other things.

... and darth vader

So when will the story be completed (roughly)?

How about the spearman verses R2-D2. Come on. He repaired the ship that the queen was on. He delivered the Death Star plans. Errr....You could use him as a trash can. Errr.......He is a good whistler. He can also turn his head 360 degrees. His friend, C-3PO, i a god (well, according to the ewoks). And how many droids do you know of that were blown up by Darth Vader and yet survived.:crazyeye: :crazyeye: :crazyeye: :crazyeye: :crazyeye:

It started in the "Hulk Vs Superman" thread, and we were all suggesting people we'd like to see fight, and I asked who would win in a fight between Civ3 Spearman (I call him Speary;))and Superman. Speary won hands down!

This guy really underestimate the power of Speary. :lol:

Spearman vs the Alien battle cow (anyone seen that model). The spearman would be confused, thinking it to be a buffullo (bison) resource. Now we all remeber (from your most ebarressing civ monments thread) the frustrations of the guy that tried for hours to find out how to kill the buffullo with his warrior, do we really think speerman could do better?

The battlecow is a very strange model...No one ever uses it in multiplayer although I did play one or tow normal games with that skin...

Anyway when are we going to see the first edition of the Spearman verses...?

Sorry, I have been extremely busy with work recently. Just this week I have put in 24 hours of overtime....and that doesn't count the lunch hour I don't get paid for or the 45 minutes I drive to work each way, each day. :( I haven't been feeling very creative. This is one of the many projects that I have in mind and with the new patch for civ3, 1.21, I can get rid of corruption!!! Woohoo!!

Work <- Ugh, at least I have a job now.
CFC <- do it at work. :D
GameCatcher <- My StarCraft/BW fix...this counts all the BW I play.
CFC <- oops
Civ3 <- Been playing that more plus been messing with the editor.
Wife <- Hard to spend time with her since I am on such a crappy shift.
Speary <- Back burner!
Something I cannot tell you about <- Back burner!!
Learning C++ <- Slowly *learning* at work, self-study

I do quite a lot of overtime too but like PH it's my own fault, posting at CFC takes a lot of time away from my boss so I feel a bit guilty and stay a bit longer.:)

Of course, dont forget the Monstah Kill and the killing sprees such like: unstoppable or godlike whenever he manage to stand up against 20 or 25 tanks :rolleyes:

I can fortunately say I have never lost a tank to a spearman but its damn annoying when you declare war and then see your first 5 troops get slaughtered...

How about Quantum Spearman ?

Speary leaps through time, temporarily inhabiting body after body, spearing things that originally went un-speared
