This is the thread for stating when you are away and when you get back.

I will start this thread by saying that I will be away from a computer for a few days since I am getting a new computer and desk, so it might take a few days for it get done.

Does that mean I am responsible for playing the save while you are away?

Classical_hero wasn't very specific about when he thought he would return, but he hasn't been on CFC for 5 days, so I guess playing the save is up to gbno1fan again.

I am back, but in a limited capacity.

I'll be gone for the next several days to study for my midterms.

I will be gone from Thursday to saturday (Australia day Weekend).

I am back after a few exhausting days. It has been over 40C for three days straight, so naturally things have been a bit rough for me. But I can now resume my duties.

I'm back now, I just have 1 midterm left, so i'll just be gone probably tomorrow to study for it and than that's it. :)

I will be away this weekend but will still periodically check the forums.

While I'm not a prolific poster in this forum, I check here every day (except weekends) and this is a long weekend :saintpatrick: so I'm not around 'til Tuesday. There should be a :leprechaun: smiley too.

After the rugby, there seems to be a lot of new cricket fans.

I might be around less the coming time, my grandfather fell last night and broke his hip. I'll have to visit him and I might have to help out at my grandmothers house. I'll probably be around often enough to do my job as chief ambassador, but it might be less than usual.

I'll be gone from April 19 through April 22. Although I'll have internet access, I'm fairly certain that I won't have any time to check our forum during that timespan.

I will also be gone this weekend for a long awaited, needed, and anticipated camping trip.

I leave in the evening of the 19th and return the evening of the 22nd.

The trip was great - most fun I've ever had on a weekend camping trip. I didn't take too many photos this year because my friend's new camera put mine to shame - he might have some pictures that I can show later, but here are some from our trip to the same place (Mammoth Cave National Park):

I will be out of town from Tuesday to Friday as my work will be hosting a conference. However, I should have limited internet connectivity to access the forums periodically.

It's been a good few months since I've been around CFC. The truth is, I got busy with real life and other things and didn't have much time for Civ anymore. I should have left a notice, but, I didn't. So I would just like to apologize for dissapearing so suddenly. I hope to be back playing Civ again now; I'm going to boot it up today and play some casual games to get back used to it again. You seem to have a good start on the SG... I'm glad to see it has gone at least fairly well.

No problem. We all need to have a RL, so it is no problem with me, since I am not very active myself.

Not that I'm likely to be missed, but I'll be out from about 9am June 2nd until about 5pm on June 3rd.

Upcoming I'll also be off planet from June 9th until the 19th visiting the Mouse.

I'll be gone from the 13th-18th studying for finals. Once my finals are done, I'll be back here and ready to devote a lot more time to helping our team. :)

I'll be on a business trip from Sunday 24 (noon) till Thursday 28 (night). So I will be able to play again at the earliest on Friday night.

I am not sure about internet access yet, but I think at best it will be occasionally. Hotel internet access is horribly expensive usally.

i'm back for now, but i'm going on vacation from the 24th-30th of June. after that, i'll have nothing major come up for nearly two months, and will be able to devote a lot more time to our team.

The honeymoon pictures are up as well. We visited Northern Italy with a stop at the Amsterdam airport (after missing our flight on the way home due to a rain delay out of Venice and spending a few hours not knowing when we'd get home, I am in no hurry to go back to the Schipol in Amsterdam even though it was one of the nicest airports I've been to). How was Schiphol? Were any of my tips of any use (I doubt it :p)?

The airport was really neat - we liked the lounge seats. We thought about going to check out the museum but decided against it when we realized it had a ton of art on display - we aren't huge art fans and we wanted to explore the airport instead.

Other than being stuck there waiting to be put on a new flight home since we missed the first one, it was a nice place to have a layover.

In case everyone's been wondering what happened to DenyD, well my company (in their infinite wisdom) has tightened up the firewall and I can't reach the Civ web site from work anymore. You'd think that spending 8 hours a day there would be enough for them, but no they expect us to actually be productive. I've been using my limited time at home primarily for PBEM games, but only had one tonight so I'm stopping by. I hope to be able to check in a 2-3 times a week.

Bummer. As Furiey said, work has really been creeping up on my Civ time.

Just because they won't let you go to CFC doesn't mean you actually have to be productive - I'd show them that I could be just as unproductive without CFC if I were you.

I will be tripping for my company from Sunday March 29 through Wednesday April 1. I may have sporadic internet access, but I definitely won't have civ access.

My home computer woke up dead this morning, and I'm not sure it can be resurrected. I'll check in from other computers when I can, but I'm not sure when (or if) I will be able to play turns.

I think we are a few days away from getting the turn actually. If you won't be able to play the turn, somebody else should step in. I think we can do a one day delay or something, but more wouldn't be appropriate due to our statements in the turn tracker thread :).

If nobody wants to, I'd take that burden, but can't guarantee utmost effectiveness...
