is there a way to get multiple instances of the same unit (a cannon for instance) in the build queue and have them all be 1 turn from completion? each time i try this it shows the original cannon at 1 turn and the next cannon at 4 turns. i have to select different units, like grenadiers, to queue up multiple units for a build up/civics switch/pop out multi-promoted units strat.

is this even possible? what am i missing?

As far as I know what you are trying to do isn't possible. You have to queue up different units to take advantage of a civics switch.

That doesn't work anymore in Civ4. Developer had eliminated this kind of exploit. Also pre-built things will lose their hammer over time (althought only happen after like 20 turns later, not sure)
