edit: They want to recycle bibles and send money to stem cell research?   :goodjob:
Hilarious ;)
Anyway, Americans should stop thinking that atheism is something weird and dangerous. I can't understand how could it even be possible for a country so advanced to be so socially backwards in certain aspects.
In Europe, atheism is not a topic for discussion, it is normal and nobody seems to mind that. Such initiative, if it was founded in Europe, wouldn't get any attention from the media.
edit2: Price - one soul
sanabas Jan 25, 2007, 09:36 AM So are you up to the challenge? Can you deny the Holy Spirit?
Sure, although I wouldn't bother.
brennan Jan 25, 2007, 09:50 AM Get the slant on the news report: 'this guy is a follower of Richard Dawkins - and accepts his teachings' (paraphrase). Could they try harder to make rational thinking sound like a cult?
Holy Spirit? Wassat then?
CurtSibling Jan 25, 2007, 09:50 AM I don't believe in ghosts.
Holy or otherwise.
...
Kozmos Jan 25, 2007, 10:57 AM Why the hell was this moved to humour and jokes?
Abaddon Jan 25, 2007, 11:59 AM Why is this thread here?
Duke of Marlbrough Jan 25, 2007, 12:36 PM What discussion was presented in the opening post?
Kozmos Jan 25, 2007, 02:06 PM I dont know logic, religion, choice verus choicelessnes, Dawkins, Atheist bid to 'poison' the minds of young children, selling out your soul for a free DVD. The first report says it all.
Duke of Marlbrough Jan 25, 2007, 03:38 PM But, the opening post did nothing to try and say any of that. Just watch some videos. No discussion.
Because of that it wasn't clear of the threads intent. Either spam or a joke. So, either gets closed or moved here.
Eran of Arcadia Jan 26, 2007, 10:37 AM Anyone who wonders why some people think atheism is weird or unusual has obviously never read any of Curt's posts.
(I mean that as a compliment.)
