View Full Version : Unit crashes game, why?

I can't find any recent post or sticky/tutorial that adresses this...

I'm rather new to modding as well and am more of a 'tinkerer' than a modder, so if im asking something stupid plz forgive me.

I modded my game. I changed the F-15 (UU of America) to be a "Delta Force" unit. However, when I try to build the unit, the game crashes. The Delta Force unit is identical to a Paratrooper in every respect except its nationality is hidden, it is only usable by the Americans, and it can also trigger a Golden Age.

Any city that chooses it crashes.

I renamed the unit to "Delta" -- still crashed.
I unselected the "hidden nationality" attribute -- still crashed.

Am I dumb, did i screw something up? Is this a known problem?

Help!?

Is the .ini file of the same name as the unit, and the folder? This has to be case sensitive. All unit names must be identical.

Also, are all the .flc and .wav names correct?

I didn't realize I had to do all that sort of business.
