Does anyone know of a dragon unit floating about the web. I am looking for a dragon unit for a fantasy mod.

BlueO did a mechanized dragon unit, looks kind of like a Chromatic Dragon. Its about the closest thing to a dragon that's available right now. I'm not sure if it's posted here, but I'm sure you can get it at apolyton (www.apolyton.com).

Is there some secret to getting downloads to work from Apolyton? I always get a message saying it is not a valid .zip file.

Is there some other site or location to download BlueO's Dragon Dreadnaught from?

For some reason, when you download stuff at Apolyton all it says is 'attachment'. You have to rename it to 'whatever.zip'. For example, for the dragon, you could rename it to 'dragon.zip' before you download.

If that still doesn't work for you, I think S3d's Alien Legacy mod also uses BlueO's Mecha Dragon unit. Alien Legacy can be downloaded from the Completed Mods forum here at civfanatics.

In my estimation is still needs shadowing, fire breath, sounds, death sequence, and a nice fluid default sequence to be at all useful. But at it now, at least, is a workable Civ3 FLC format for anyone to tinkle with.

I'm currently knee deep in xy offset work at the moment so please don't expect me to go any further with this in the following days, but I'd love to see someone else finish it! :D

Thanks for all the useful suggestions. I was finally able to download the dragon from Apolyton. To get it work, I had to use Internet Explorer rather than my usual Netscape.
