I have a large widescreen monitor with a native resolution of 1280x720.

Are 1280x1024 and 1024 x768 the only two choices? They both look retarded on my screen...i.e. all my troops are short and fat. I tried changing the config file, but it doesn't work. :mad:

well thats more or less a config problem than a mod problem

as far as i see you have two choices to avoid that stupid look:

1.) Have a look at your computer display settings. i dunno how it is with a desktop PC with a LCD display, but here on my wide screen notebook i can go in the catalyst control center and choose scale image - maintain aspect ratio (you can find it under graphic settings --> notebook panel properties 1 --> Attributes, it might be different on you machine)

2.) you can change the warlords/cIV ini file - you can find a link called _Civ4Config.lnk in your cIV/warlords installation dir. In there you can find something like ScreenHeight and ScreenHeight - change the values to your like and it SHOULD work. I emphasise should, because somehow it doesn't work here.

Hmm, your resolution is too low. The game runs in widescreen fine at 1440x900.
