Today,I picked up Risk Gold Edition which just happens to include a copy of good ole 2.42 Civ2.
With Cedric's FW update(which worked),I now have 2.42,FW and MGE(allready had that) installed as 3 different versions

What's the difference between FW and MGE? I have MGE, doesn't it have everything that FW does except for maybe a few scenarios?

FW = Fantastic Worlds - Has scenario ability and includes some scenarios to get you hooked.
MGE - Multi Player Gold Edition - Includes FW and allows multi-player game play.
At least this is the impression I get. I own MGE and I got FW a few weeks later and I didn't notice anything new.
Smash : does FW have anything the MGE doesn't?

yes it sure does.A less hostile AI.The hostile AI of MGE makes some scenarios unplayable as the creator intended.

FW allow city-objective with 3 pts MGE don't support this even if it's in the edit-city

That's right! I remember that and wondered why some of the scenarios I had had a lot of X3 objective cities and if I wanted to change any it wouldn't work. Thanks! I always figured it was something I was doing wrong. :)

May I remind you that FW is OLDER than MGE? :scan:
