Hi,

I remember in alpha centauri, there were some random events like: "bumper crop harvest in City X (+10% food for 10 turns)" or "Industrial failure in City Z (-10% of prodution for 10 turns)".

For example, such random events should happen - maybe balanced by some factors.

I lack natural disasters like volcanos, locusts, typhoons, plagues, etc.

The discovering of new resources are also very rare. Maybe it should be linked with the depletion of some older resources - e.g. chance of runnig out of iron in a mine increases in every 30 turns or so.

Perhaps a new tech like geology should increase the discovery of new resources.

ps.: i publish this idea on the main Civ! forum also.

best whishes and congratulation for the creators of this mod again!!

I don't know what this post is about, if it is referring to a wish of the thread author to be added to the mod or if it is saying something about the mod itself. I found it in a search... but a new natural disasters and random events mod (usable as a component) is coming soon... (in about a month or so...). It will be usable by all modders who have SDK developers capable of adding C++ changes/files to their mod. Are random events part of the total realism mod? I did not find them on the web page describing the mod...

I am guessing it is a wish of the author considering the last few lines...
