View Full Version : simple explanation to democracy games needed Joe Harker Feb 10, 2007, 08:21 PM I am trying to get register as a citizen and i wondered if anyone could give a simple explanation to how the democracy games work? Ginger_Ale Feb 10, 2007, 08:24 PM I suggest you read this Welcome sticky (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=202823). All you need to do to become a citizen is post in the Citizen Registry (in the main forum), and then you can catch up! Luckily, we're still in the planning stages, soon to start the game, so you haven't missed anything. Joe Harker Feb 10, 2007, 09:08 PM I have read that but i need an explanation of whos controls what? the intractions between different bodies of government stuff like that. DaveShack Feb 10, 2007, 09:25 PM That's what we're in the middle of deciding. We've passed a Constitution which defines mechanisms that the people can use to make decisions. Now we have several debates and polls going on to determine what the structure of the government should be. ice2k4 Feb 11, 2007, 10:10 AM To be a little more clear, were still deciding on who controls what. Although it might help if someone writes a brief history of how the last demogame worked. That might give newcomers an example to try and understand. 730195 Feb 12, 2007, 08:40 AM Something that might help us noobs get oriented would be a simple checklist. Enumerate all the things that need to be done before play actually begins. Update the list periodically to indicate things that have been decided are being polled are being discussed have had no action so far DaveShack Feb 12, 2007, 09:11 AM The game startup process can be found in this thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=204509). I appended an updated on where we are. :) |
