Do you want "No Resource Trading" option?

Playing with AI in single mode, it's fine without this option. But, in multi on internet, AI doesnt like to trade with Human. AI trades with AI. CIv4 has "No Tech Trading" option, why not a resource? This option maybe useless, but some player wants, I think. If you think this option is fool, just dont use it.

Why would you want this option?

Options are always a good thing. You don't need to select it. I don't think I would ever use it, but I'd definitely like to have the option.:goodjob:

Yea, I'll agree to more options all day since they are "optional". It's when the option development time takes away from something I really want that I will say no. Since we don't have the insight of a priority list, I voted yes.

I don't see any reason to do this personally because as it is, I always end up with a ton of extras anyways even after gifting/trading to other AIs. Plus, extra resources don't do anything for you.

I would rather have them assign new values to the AI and resources to have the AI more likely to trade. I think that would be a more valuable use of time for Firaxis IMO.

Making an option like this would take 10 minutes for the game developers - tops. You add another button to the menu, and an if statement at game initialization to determine whether or not to allow resource trading. They would already have the format worked out from the no tech trading.

Sure, why not, if it's easy for the game developers? It could add some interesting variations to the game. Additional resources of the same type become less important, while single sources become more valuable. The only way to get them would be via war or cultural border expansion. I wonder if the AI would go to war more often in such a game?

Options are good. "Would you ever use such a beast?" is a different question entirely.

Why not. I don't think I'd use it too often but what the heck. The more options the better.

I would like that option. Actaully, I would like three options:

-No trading of strategic resources (iron, copper, oil, etc.)
-No trading of luxury resources (dye, gold, insense, etc.)
-No trading of health resources (wheat, fish, etc.)

For me, it would promote going to war to get resources. It could make the game a little more cutthrough in terms of resources.

yes. having and AI trade ivory or oil to another AI you are fighting is very irritating:mad:

As long as this option of yours is NOT checket by default under... lets say; "play now".
Hey, it could happen... otherwise, why not? Options are nice, as long as it does'nt bug things out.
