I just bought civ 4. My computer is a dual core 1.66ghz processor, 256 Nvidia Geforce Go7400 graphics card, 2gb ram.

If I play version 1.00 (no patch) it works but very sluggish and with lots of crashes.

If I update to version 1.61 then it doesnt work at all anymore. When I attempt to start I just see that panel with loading in several languages and then the panel dissappears and nothing else happens.

Help would really be appreciated.
