Hey fellow civ'ers,
I just upgraded to Civ 4 from 3 last week and have been slowly getting used to the interface. I'm really enjoying the prettier, 3D look as compared to Civ 3 but my computer seems to get rather angry with me when I try to play even on medium settings- wonder movies are a particular hassle as they freeze everything up until I push escape and there are always consequences (mini map all pixelated, etc). The movies were something I was really looking forward to too. Anything I have read so far indicated to me that I wouldn't have any problems with the game. I could play on the lowest settings but it just seems to take the "pop" away from the graphics. Any suggestions? My laptop specs are as follows:
Toshiba M30 Satellite
GeForce FX Go5200
768mb ram
centrino 1.5 ghz
Thanks :goodjob:
