Hi there all.
I recently bought myself a new notebook. And it has no real graphic card, just an Intel 945GM. Can I buy and play Civ4 on it?

It also has 512Mb memory and a t2050 processor, so that is not what I am worrying about.

I doubt you'll be able to have a good experience with Civ IV with such an onBoard graphics card especially when you only have 512 MB system memory. Sorry!

Maybe try loading with low details that should work :) so if you're not in for a perfect graphics experience the game itself should still work I think.

Hi guys

I was wondering whether you could assist me. I have CIV 4 & Warlords but on new PC with Vista. Video is jerky and options screen/in game city management screen flashes (unplayable). I contacted 2k game support who instructed me to run game as compatible with Windows 2000. Suffice to say this didn't help, infact I couldn't even access the game at all (wouldn't recognize CD)

My PC spec is:

Microsoft® WindowsVista Premium
● Processor ATHLON 64 3800 Dual Core
● System Memory 2 x 512MB DDR-400 (Max 4GB)
● nVidia GeForce6100 with nForce 405
● Realtek ALC880 (7.1 Channels)
● Audio connections: Line In, 2 x Line Out (one in front), 2 x MIC In (one in front),
● Gigabyte (10/100/1000) Lan solution
● 7 USB 2 ports with 2 in front
● PS/2 Keyboard port, PS/2 Mouse port, Parallel Port, Serial Port.
● Hard Drives 2 SATA HDD 3.5" bays
● Optical Devices DVD Burner dual and double layer with an option of a second DVD drive
● 2 x PCI, 1 x 1X PCIE, 1 x 16X PCIE
● Housing Dimension 360 (W) x 180 (H) x 420 (D) mm
● Software Norton AntiVirus™ 2005 Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® 6.0 Cyberlink® Power DVD for DVD SKU, NTI CD-Maker™ Gold for DVD burner SKU, Aspire Recovery CD, Acer Resource CD
● EMI / Safety CE / Nemko

I thought maybe the issue was my onboard graphics card but I think this is fine! What do you suggest? I would be awfully grateful for your assistance.

Thanks

Andrew
