Is it possible to save a single player game, and somehow load it up as a multiplayer one, so that people can join as the alredy existing computer players.

For example:
My friend is playing at the moment and i want to play with him and join his game, but it is single player. Can he save it and somehow let me join in to it?

Any help would, well, help!
