Does anyone know how to modify my startup for Civ IV and Warlords (both) to run without playing all the startup movies? I can click through them but at a certain point it just gets retarded and I'd like to just load straight to the menu.

Have you tried editing the line in the *.ini?
; Set to 1 for no intro movie
NoIntroMovie = 1

Or there is an option to turn off all movies, but you may not want to do that.
