View Full Version : Guess the City!

In this thread you have to guess what the city is from a picture posted by somebody (usually the winner on the previous picture)

Rules

1. The picture you post has to be on a city or very large, famous town.
2. The picture has to contain something from the city that makes it recognisable.
3. The cities should be at least known in the country.
4. Wait until the previous poster has stated that your guess is correct, then you can post a picture of a city.
5. If the picture poster takes as long as 2 days saying whether anybody was correct, it is invalid, and another poster gives another picture of a city.

Googling and other searching is allowed.

I start!

Haha. You're kidding! I was like, "What's a city in Italy people wouldn't think of right away?" Okay, here we go. Hopefully this'll be easy.

Mirc
Mar 04, 2007, 05:36 AM
I don't think it qualifies as a former Italian city. You could call even Jerusalem a former Italian city, by these rules. It was ruled in the late middle ages and early renaissance by Venice, but this doesn't really make it Italian. It's like saying Athens is an Ottoman city.

London, Great Britain?

Well, I pointed up that the cars are driving on the right side of the road in that pic. But doesn't matter now. :)

As about taillesskangaru's picture, it looks very European*, but is there a Pagoda in the background?
*I actually first had the impression that it's from Romania.

Nope. I know I'm not the poster that posted the picture, but I am 100% positive that is not Washington D.C.
