If anyone's wondering, the reason I couldn't let Classical_Hero take over is because he was the replacement for Grizzle, and it's a problem if someone takes over a civ after they've been running another one, because they will know stuff about the previous civ that they shouldn't know, other players may have let them in on secrets that they now shouldn't have, etc.

I had never even attempted a huge game... And it is just not funny to sit and watch my machine crawl along. It just cannot handle the huge map.
