Not being able to test it myself, but I would suggest that the HOF mod will not work with this patch, so please:

Complete GOTM 16, then apply the patches.

The new patches have no impact on the G/WOTMs and I've confirmed that they run with the existing HoF Mod. So you can apply the patches at any time during a game.
