View Full Version : Congrats, Gyathaar!
ainwood Mar 04, 2007, 08:44 PM Many of you may have seen the anouncement here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/announcement.php?f=165&a=451), but if you haven't, Gyathaar has been formally appointed as a moderator for the Civ4 GOTM.
He's been doing heaps of work lately in organising the SGOTMs and the WOTMs, so its only sensible that he is given the formal recognition of his efforts, by being made moderator (and it gives him the tools to sticky threads, delete posts at random, and ban miscreants who criticise his maps). :mischief:
Anyway - please join me in giving him our (Civ4 GOTM forum-specific) congrats on his appointment.

Gyathaar Mar 05, 2007, 06:56 AM Thank you for your hard work and I especially have enjoyed the more challanging games.
Challenging? bah.. you have seen nothing really challenging.. now take the WOTM3 worldbuildersave.. bump up the difficulty to deity.. and change the AIs to play at settler..
THEN you will have a challenging game! :satan:
Conquistador 63 Mar 05, 2007, 07:38 AM Congratulations!
And as for the challenging games, bring them on!
zagnut Mar 05, 2007, 07:57 AM Congratulations and many thanks for all the time you devote to GOTM.
cabert Mar 05, 2007, 09:40 AM thanks for the varied maps and keep up with the good job.
I'm not easy to please, and I thought I was playing with varied settings and varied leaders.
But I must confess the Gyathaar special maps and settings are nowhere near the games I played on my own.
Let's hope you're as good a moderator as you're for setting up those games :D
RobertTheBruce Mar 05, 2007, 10:49 AM Congratulations, Gyathaar!
I really enjoy the work you put into the GOTM.
da_Vinci Mar 05, 2007, 10:59 AM Congrats Gyathaar! :goodjob:
You have always made so much contribution to the site, I had always just assumed you were already a moderator! I will have to pay more attention!
Good to see that you now have the title to go with the contribution! :king:
Thanks for all of the work :thanx:

Erkon Mar 05, 2007, 11:08 AM Congratulations!
And as for the challenging games, bring them on!
I don't think Gyathaar dares to make any challenging maps, and the ones he let us play are for children :mischief:
Anyway, good luck and well done!
Master Madness Mar 05, 2007, 12:27 PM Congrats Gyathaar! :goodjob:
Thrallia Mar 05, 2007, 01:46 PM Congrats Gyathaar!
Your maps are simply evil...yet so fun to play on as well!
EEO Mar 05, 2007, 02:36 PM Congratulations Gyathaar ! ;)
I just hope that your new responsabilities will not stifle your creativity ...
LowtherCastle Mar 05, 2007, 03:48 PM My congratulations, too, Gyathaar. What I like about your maps are that 1) they involve us in interesting but novel experiences and 2) they force us to make choices in our decisions, because it always seems that if this were here then that spot would be perfect, but since it's not... :goodjob:
leif erikson Mar 06, 2007, 11:34 AM [party] Well deserved congratulations Gyathaar!! :band:
We do miss you on XTeam however. Care to join us again sometime? :mischief:

:thanx: for the challenges.
SteelHorse Mar 08, 2007, 06:48 PM Challenging? bah.. you have seen nothing really challenging.. now take the WOTM3 worldbuildersave.. bump up the difficulty to deity.. and change the AIs to play at settler..
THEN you will have a challenging game! :satan:
Change the AI's to settler, I can't beat WOTM3 when I play as settler.:crazyeye:
Congrats - looking forward to lots more fun.
BLubmuz Mar 09, 2007, 05:52 PM congrats, Gyathaar,
just let's see if this would soften your heart when you design your infamous maps ;)
