If you want to host you can start a new game whenever you want! Download Pitboss and its attendant documentation and experiment with the program on your computer. Come to us with any specific questions and we'll be happy to help you hash them out. It's fairly easy to use but there are a few wrinkles that those of us who are hosting have encountered so far. We're glad to help because we want more games. :)

I would easily host if it means i dont have to leave my computer on 24/7.
From what i understand, one of the great appeals to pitboss is that you can log in whenever you want, make your move, and then just wait for the next person to do the same, until it comes round back to you.
I cant see that happening any other way then having a dedicated 24/7 computer online.

my schedule just wouldnt permit that.

if theres a way to do it without leaving the comp on all day, i would definitely consider it.

i noticed theres a save option, so maybe leaving the comp on during a window of 4 hours? prolly need a committed bunch for that tho.

You basically need to have the computer on 24/7

Unless....

Say you get together with a group of people in your own timezone.... But then you could just make it a regular MP game without Pittboss.

Maybe not. You could simply have, say, an 8 hour turn timer and commit to turning the game on when you get home from work/class/whatever and turning it off when you go to bed. If you're clear about when the server will be running at the beginning then you might be able to find enough people to do so.

If ten people who all play between 5 PM and 11 PM eastern time, for example, all got onto one server then why should they care that it's only online from 4 to midnight?
