Am not familiar with Civ4 mods. I have also had a long break with Civ4 gaming.

What mod would you recomend me to play with? (Warlords).
Which one is the best, most advanced and so on... ?

Personally I would recommend Rhyes and Fall of Civilization.

My Age of Discovery if you're into the colonisation era. ;)

ViSa, I would recommend for starters just for overall game. Then if you interested in something more fantasy or era specific then I would try the most downloaded ones of that specific type.

I would recommend the one with the most downloads, or the one with the most Views, or the one with the most posts... ;)

Or if you are more into Realism and want some further developed (less buggy) stuff, , check out the sub forums with The Ancient Mediterranean Mod, ViSa, Total Realism, Rhyes and Fall.

Well, the European Middle Ages Mod is a great mod if you're into that era. :lol:

The Ancient Mediterranean is great if you want something basically similar to the basic game, but more focused in time and space.

I wonder how do new units, techs and rules affect to AI ?
I remember that one year ago I played on some mod (Sevo maybe?). As far as I can remember AI behaviour was very strange - defensive. All AI units were in cities, no counter attacks and so on...

The mods are ever evolving. Try playing a couple, offer some feedback, and help them evolve some more. :)

Personally i love ViSa Mod - i don't play warlords anymore after trying this mod :)
Playing FfH is also real great experience (keep in mind that i don't like especially fantasy climate, but playing this mod is real pleasure)

But they aren't only mods that are great here (in fac there's a lot of great mods here)- it mostly depends on what you like - personally i tihnk in fact 40% is worth trying

I haven't played regular Civ since E3 came out over a year ago. And I've never used the Warlords CD without a mod. :)

I prefer real-world mods. Right now am downloading Total Realism Gold.

If you need thinghs to be hard try to conquer germany playing poland in WW2 1939 mod - you'll find link in my signature :p (hovewer i recommend to wait you couple of day - new patch for this beta is comming :) or months - if you like game to be pritty well balanced ;))

Nope. But you can still play it if you have Warlords installed, you just have to use your vanilla CD. There weren't enough features in Warlords that we would use to make it worth the conversion (in my opinion). This way people with and without warlords can play FfH.

nope - it use vanilla - but it doesn't matter cause they changed a lot sdk - so it's much different gameplay

Civ Gold is my personal favorite...
