I'm trying to download the HOF mod version 1.61.010.
It is supposed to be at http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ4/mods/HOF-1.61.010.exe

However we I left-click on it, or I right-click on to do a "Save as", I am re-directed to http://cwings.org/xss.html where it shows "404 error".

I've the same problem for some weeks, but I thought that it was temporary. This isn't solved and strangely I didn't see discussed anywhere. What's going on?

the link works fine for me - I doubt it is a problem on the CFC side of the internet :p

I discovered the site long ago and read some strategies that improved my game a lot. So I am thanking the community :)

Try downloading from this link (http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ4/mods/HOF-1.61.010.exe). Please not that link will immediately run an execute file. If you prefer to not run the execute file from this post than go here (http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ4/mod.php#download).

I'd also suggest you go to the HoF Mod page (http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ4/mod.php) for instructions and other great information on the HoF mod.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

No kidding. I just upgraded from IE6 over the weekend, and I'm about to go back to Firefox....

:lol: the only reason I ever allowed IE to be present on my computers is that manual updates don't work with any other browser - and I don't trust the automatic update feature of winXP... incidentally the only reason for winXP on my computers is: [civ4] ... and the only [civ4] games I play currently are Gauntlets so: you are responsible for me still using Microsoft products :p [/rant]
