Hi everyone

I'm doing a small project for my Media Studies course about simulator game marketing and advertising. I've done a SHORT anonymous questionnaire - I'd love it if you had 2 minutes to nip over and fill it in:

Thanks y'all

I filled it in just because i've got nothing else to do, but you might want to alter your last question because i wanted to fill in all but one of them.

Is it me or it's just some marketing scheme? One post and he's posting survey.

I filled it in too. I didn't like the question with the Fantasy/Realistic/Hybrid - i like all those.

What I am the only sane one here? You dont just go to strange sites and fill surveys because a guy with 1 post asked you to.

But it's short and annonymous. That means you can write all sorts of crap in it. :mischief: But unfortunatley this one only has 1 option where you can actually type in the answer. :(

yes but you don't have to put in information of course it could give my comp some kind of virus, or maybe it's just so we play the games that there are linked to at the end (the first one wouldn't load for me)

Hey, totally understand you guys thinking it might be a marketing ruse, as can happen, but it's not.

Thanks for filling it in - I've attached the results. Since crunching the data I've had more responses - up to about 70 now. I posted the link on one other site too, at MobyGames.com - the Game Talk forum.

And thanks for posting feedback about the questions, it's all good info for the project - I have to design a front and back cover for a fictional computer game and an advert, along with all the planning and evaluation :twitch:

My made-up game is a government/economy simulation game where you have to manage a country and relations with other countries to create an eco friendly world in order to save the planet from a seemingly inevitable course to destruction from global warming/climate change! Hence the links to those two similar games I found.

It would be based as much in reality as possible and you'd be able to download updates about science and technology, news, weather patterns etc. I'd love to have the resources to make it!

I found another 'serious game' (as they're known) about solving the Middle East crisis, called Peacemaker. It's an online game at www.impactgames.com. Just thought I'd pass that on coz it looks pretty cool.

I'm sure there's no-one still reading at this point. But thanks again anyway.
