I just tried the American UHV yesterday, i didn't get it! In the last version France colonize all the Brazil, Spain Argentina, and England every Island of America. So i can't conquer all theirs cities.

And I was unable to colonize all the north america and try the UHV.

So, anyone did this UHV? I need some hints :)

I'm in the process of this UHV though I'm not sure if I need to just keep Europeans off the N.American continent or also the Carribbean and S.America. If it is S.America...hell if I'm going to get rid of all those Frenchies and Spaniards.

Looks like you've got to forget about setting up an uber economy and whip out some soldiers. Both continents however is harsh.

Has anyone accomplished this UHV? If so, could you post a link to a save-game or strategy of how you did it, please? :)

Also, for some reason, when I let the game play until it reaches 1733 and I spawn as America, I find that I have no technology whatsoever! It's created some really funny situations where I have to expand rapidly and desperately race up the tech tree (I know, I know, I could have just given myself the techs in the World Builder) in time to fuifill the UHV requirements. Has anyone else run into this bug, or is it just me?

I think I'll post my strategy when I play my next American game ... I'll try to get it up by the weekend!

The technology thing is a definite bug that will be fixed in the next version. I'm holding back my planned American game till then.

NitroJay is currently trying to assemble a set of late-start savegames. He's trying to make historical ones too but currently we just have an unaltered America save.

Also, just go into worldbuilder and add the techs you think the US deserve (i.e the techs the colonisers have)

Reading this thread has made me realise something.

Despite having the latest build, my UHV conditions are all out-of-date. America doesn't have the 'secure 10 oil resources' and Persia still has "control 20% of world territory by 700 AD", for example. Does anyone know why this is?

Did you completely delete your old RFC folder before extracting the new one?

If not, you should probably reinstall it.
