My 1/2 first unit, I made the animations, embryodead made it in to a unit. So thanks dude! well I need this building witch will be immobile in my game and will guard the bay of "Kotor" (Montenegro). Maybe somebody will have use for him!

another thing you could do in the future is 1 more direction (NW/SE) for "vertical" bays.

This is actually a pretty neat idea. The kind of stuff that makes scenarios be unique compared to the normal game. :)

Stupid me didn't think of that  Although Animation shop doesn't make Civ3 flics, so the second unit won't work in game. Here is a fixed version for SE/NW in Civ3 format:

Yeah, I thought that too

BTW, what is the attack animation for these things?

posted the attack preview, its kind of a trap for Pirates! when they try to enter the bay, chains go up and sinks the ship :D

Heh, this could easily sneak its way into a "Song of Ice and Fire" mod (based on the books by George R. R. Martin), since Kings Landing's harbor had such a defensive tower set up (they used it to trap King Stannis Baratheon's fleet in the harbor, after which they sent ships loaded with Alchemist's fire to ram them)

I thought the same thing when I saw this HT. I'm reading through the series now, and just read that chapter a couple days ago.

Oh yeah... Thanks for putting this together Partizanac (and embryodead). Very cool idea!

Well, Cam, I'd be interested in supporting a Song of Ice and Fire mod, especially when I get the FF mod done.

That would be a fun mod/scenario to play. I might be interested in lending some support as well.

Looks like I might have to reinstall Poser once again. :)

Partizanac... That is a very novel and useful unit you created there. I am sure that unit will be put to some good use in games. :goodjob:

I would've suggested this for you, but you've already beaten me to it. I remember that during the Turkish Siege of Rhodes, one of these was used and successfully kept the Ottomans out of the harbor. That was the Siege of Rhodes in 1480 by the way, not in 1522.

Very cool guys, great work. I am wondering how easy it might be for someone to whip up a modern equivalent such as those stripped gates that come down in parking garages and parking lots. :mischief: You know, like the kiosk with the gate that comes down. The death animation could be the gate getting smashed off.

I also thought that. HAHA, I recently got an xbox 360 magazine, and they were talking about a possible KoToR 3 in the works.
