I was making a scenario, using the ingame worldbuilder and editing the save file with notepad... This was working fine, and I was already at the fifth playable iteration of my scenario development. Then, this last time I went to edit the save, many code lines of it were missing at the end!!! What could be happening?

By the way, I know the proper way of loading, which is to select the scenario, choose the first civ and open the worldbuilder.

This may have nothing to do with it, but if you save it in the Worldbuilder, it takes out comments and who-knows-what else.

If I save it in the worldbuilder? Where else am I gonna save it?

LOL! Good question. I guess what I meant was worldbuilder instead of saving it in a text editor.

Oh, OK. But, from what I've started to glean from the tutorials on modding and scenario making (I've only started to learn this stuff), editing the worldbuilder save file on something like note or wordpad is practically a vital part of advanced scenario making. Plus, I was going back and forth, from the ingame worldbuilder to the text editor and back, and having no problems... Suddenly, more than once, this started to happen, that I'd open the file in a text editor and many lines of code at the end would be missing. By now, I have more or less given up on the scenario I was making, because there would be too much hassle retracing some steps and making up for the lost data... Not to mention the danger of it happening again.

So, I thought I'd ask you guys if you know what might be the problem, before I risk venturing again at scenario designing. Like, should I choose a better text editor?

By the way, I'm using Warlords, patched and CHIPOTLED...
