My last game with India ended to it:mad: So my question is clear - how prevent civil war?:) Whitefire Mar 21, 2007, 04:22 PM Open up your financial advisor screen (the money symbol) and you can see the star ratings for your civ. Wilhelm II Mar 21, 2007, 05:49 PM I've never played India, I've only conquered the territory sometimes, but I guess India's main problem is that there is jungle everywhere and the land gets only really useful after biology. You cannot do the usual cottage spam, which results in India's economy being one of the lousiest in the game. Therefore I'd try to expand to more useful territory (Siberia?) and take some of your neighbours land with your War Elephants if that's feasable. Military victories are also good for stability.;) Phallus Mar 22, 2007, 10:30 AM You know, the power of spirituality may be more useful if, rather than avoiding anarchy, India avoids collapse. Barak Mar 22, 2007, 10:46 AM One of the solutions to avoiding a poor economy is build holy shrines and spread your religion. REDY Mar 22, 2007, 12:29 PM Open up your financial advisor screen (the money symbol) and you can see the star ratings for your civ. What it shows? Its little tough, all live civilizations near me are teokracies. I added some pictures(turn before collapse): Score (http://img57.imageshack.us/img57/3301/scoreer5.jpg) crop yield (http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/8796/cropyielduy8.jpg) culture (http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/986/culturebo3.jpg) GNP (http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/3821/gnpwr0.jpg) Mfg goods (http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/7139/mfggoodsnf2.jpg) Power (http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/8200/powerwm8.jpg) Turn before collapse (note that Dhaka declared independence) (http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/6948/situacejh8.jpg) Wilhelm II Mar 22, 2007, 12:41 PM Shrines are surely helpful and a must have for India. Getting Calendar ASAP for the resources (and the gold) also. But even then I doubt that India can pull off a powerful economy in their own subcontinent before Biology. I guess you have to spread your religion to everyone you can, so that they'll adopt it and trade techs with you. Wilhelm II Mar 22, 2007, 12:57 PM Hmm invading India? Pacifism is not good for it:D I play Germany and rule an empire from Spain to Japan, Scandinavia to the Polynesians. :assimilate: The only other civs left are America, Inca, Arabia and Arabia's vassals Mali and Babylonia. I would have choped the forests near Delhi centuries ago, and build less cities. Otherwise I cannot really say what you did wrong, which civics are you using? Whitefire Mar 22, 2007, 01:01 PM What it shows? The star ratings show what you're doing well at and what you're doing poorly at. Everything has an effect on stability and we can't help you out unless we can see what areas you are deficient in. Otherwise I cannot really say what you did wrong, which civics are you using? Well I am trying play according some historic, so I hadnt built European wonders and leads India peacfully. With Europeans, Mongols or Turks I am playing more aggresively. With French I built European Union (blue Europe (including Russia) + Egypt and Carthage) The star ratings show what you're doing well at and what you're doing poorly at. Everything has an effect on stability and we can't help you out unless we can see what areas you are deficient in. The problem is that I dont see there any stars, I see there only budget (and my economy is one of the best, not so bad even in comparision with Germany). Rhye Mar 22, 2007, 03:05 PM The problem is that I dont see there any stars, I see there only budget (and my economy is one of the best, not so bad even in comparision with Germany). which version are you playing? REDY Mar 22, 2007, 03:47 PM I was thinking that last, but I will try redownload. Whitefire Mar 22, 2007, 04:08 PM Make sure you delete the old RFC file. If you just install over the existing there have been some observed issues. Rhye Mar 23, 2007, 03:20 AM remember that any new version will probably be incompatble with your savegame REDY Mar 23, 2007, 04:10 AM Make sure you delete the old RFC file.
