I think I did a good job with Falcon's Haven, the few days I was in charge there, and plan on continue doing a good job in the capital.

Well, since I can't run for the position, I might as well make sure that the Elder is capable.

My main goals will be insuring the safety of the capital and the empire by building some military units, and expanding the empire by making new settlers and workers. Land is power IMO. We won't have to conquer all the land we grab now. And more land means more resources, more population working more cottages, making more money and having more military production. We shouldn't risk over-expansion though.

The other important thing apart from land is population. The capital gets +1 :) because of the palace. Therefor the capital will probably be the largest city in our empire for a while. We should try to get it as big as possible as soon as possible. Every citizen working a tile or acting as a specialist is important.

So basically expansion, land-wise and population-wise, will be my main goal for this term, and I feel it should be the goal of the other Elder and of the Chieftain too.

I will also try to make a new Democracy Challenge that will start at the end of this term. But you'll hear about that later.

My plan for the capital is to aim for a productive city with enough happiness and (social) security for every citizen. To ensure this the land surrounding our capital needs to be cultivated, with production as its first focus.

By cutting down forest we can also improve the production of buidlings or possible a Wonder of the World like The Oracle. This boast is of course temporarily but of enough significance to focus on.

It's also important for the citizens for Falcon's Haven and our future 3rd city to be connected to our capital. This gives us trade bonusses and enables us to construct much needed military units in our capital.
