I'd rewrite that so it reflects the fact that you should/may chose all good DP's.
Voted for everyone btw.

Falcon02 Mar 28, 2007, 05:01 AM I'm pretty confident everyone who ran for DP this time round will do a good job... so I voted for everyone.... except Abstain of course.
dutchfire Mar 29, 2007, 10:16 AM It looks like everyone will be elected this time.

I can't seem to find it in our laws, but I do recall that any DP from the previous term who didn't get to play is automatically put at the front of the list. What I don't recall is anything that says that a newly elected DP is put in front of any elected DP's who also served the prior term. In other words, is Hyronymus supposed to be put in front? In all honesty, it makes sense, but I'd prefer to know the legal aspects if there are any.
Hyronymus Mar 30, 2007, 01:24 PM If noone knows we need an initiative to amend the current rules on the pool order of the DP. If we can come to a sound initiative quickly we can pass it before my virtual turn to play would be.

I have no problem leaving you where you are, as it allows any new DP the chance to play that term. It's just my memory sucks. I recall there is (or was) some sort of law stating how it was followed, but I believe that was last game.

No, he isn't.
The order is:
-- DP's who also were in the DP Pool last term, but didn't get to play a session, in order of number of votes this term.
-- All remaining DP's, in order of number of votes this term.
Getting more complicated than that really isn't worth it.

Okay, than that makes the order:
Shattered
DaveShack
Methos
Falcon02

dutchfire Mar 30, 2007, 03:02 PM I'm sorry but I'd have to disagree with you on this one.
All DPs that actually ran a game session in the previous term will be put below those that did not, regardless of the number of votes. This list will determine the order that the DPs will be used for game sessions. If there are more game sessions than DPs, start again from the top of the list.
My interpretation of the bolded line is: "Everyone who is elected as DP this term, and who ran a session last term is put below everyone who didn't run a session last term. I agree that this is open to interpretation though.

Disagreement tends to bring better strategy. ;)

I interpret it as comparing DP's from the previous session only, as in since Hyr... wasn't a DP last term, than he wouldn't be put at the front. Shattered would as he was a DP last term and didn't get to play.
DaveShack Mar 30, 2007, 03:46 PM I'm pretty sure the current law is silent on DP order.
Doesn't matter much to me what the actual order is, except that I'll be unavailable from April 13th to 19th.

That is my interpretation of that sentence. The subject being DP's that were elected last term, and those that didn't run a session get priority over everyone else.
It's also the intention of that sentence, as expressed by the author (me!).

Hyronymus Mar 31, 2007, 01:34 PM That's the verdict then? Just checking to be sure.
