seems like I only see it offered for the full price of around 30 bucks in most places ... it's been a year, hasn't the price come down anywhere yet?

Amazon has it on sale for $27.99. I'm holding out for $19.99.

Man, why hasn't the price come down by now? Isn't that the initial price when it was released? 30 bucks is a ripoff for any expansion. I also would not like to pay more than 20.

Well, they list the MSRP at whatever they think will sell. Apparently, there are enough people still buying it that vendors can stick with the MSRP.

29.90€ for warlords and 19.95 for vanilla so both are cheap

UK price is even better on AmazonUK: £9.98 for Warlords, and £14.98 for Vanilla Civ4

I picked it up for NZ$29.99 from Dick Smiths, although I bet you could get a better deal from TradeMe.

I've seen the UK version for £7 at HMV, incase some Brits are thinking of getting it.

And it's around that price at GAME when sales are one.

I think you guys are throwing around other currencies on there -- UK pounds are very strong against the dollar right now so I don't think that's much less than 30 U.S. dollars. Anyway I just forked it over the other day so now I'm playing at least :)

well, if $30 is your full price, that corresponds to about £15 at the moment. But I think the original full price was something like £25!! ($50) :eek:

the original full price for Warlords was never 50 dollars, it was and still is 30 because it's just an expansion pack. the original game was 50, that's true. I was just asking about Warlords.

SOmebody on these forums said target had marked it down to $15.

Is it worth buying Warlords at the moment though if most of the content is going to be included in BtS?

good point, I'd wait if I were you (if it isn't too much trouble). You will quite possibly save yourself some money...

I really doubt the content in Warlords will be in BTS - they are two different concepts for expansions, one is for more peaceful play, the other for waring. I just bought Warlords and it's pretty fun, but I'm not sure yet if it was worth the price. I can still see myself going back to playing the regular game every now and then. anyway having said that, I agree if you wait until BTS comes out you will probably be fine because I have a feeling that is going to be a much better expansion in its own right and you will never miss Warlords.

I've seen it at dixons for €9.95 , but you would have to go to holland for that.

try ebay and buy used ones. tons of them online, but watch out for shipping costs

go on half.com or ebay.com or amazon marketplace.
used, they sell for $15-22 with shipping. I got mine for $18 total recently.
