Hello:) This mod will not open when I am in the game and trying to load a mod.
Am I doing something wrong? Did i install into the wrong place?
Any advice would be appreciated.;)

Okay, what I did was downloaded the Rhys and Fall Mod (as directed) and then extracted the files into "My games/SidMeier'sCivilization4/folder/mod and tried to play the mod by restarting and going into the game 1st menu "Advanced" and then to "load a mod" - and then there is nothing new there. Isn't there supposed to have the option for Rhys and Fall here in order to play the mod?

I'm having a similar problem loading some other cool mods, but I must not be putting them in the right folders and designating the right pathway or something. As you can tell, I'm not computer savvy.

Any help/advice would be so appreciated. Thnx, Maureen:crazyeye:

okay, i had the same problems as you did, at first. okay, one question- when you extracted the files was in called, 'RFC version whatever' or 'Rhye's and Fall" (that messed me up first time.) you want the second one. if all elese fails, just start putting the mod in other places if your scared you put it in the wrong place. one last thing, you can redowload if you nothing works. (Stick with it, it is a very good mod.)
maureen?

My games/SidMeier'sCivilization4/folder/mod

Well there's your problem. You should put it in C:/Program Files/Firaxis Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 4/Warlords/Mods

Well thanks, guys. I'm going to try both: First, I will double check to see that the download reads "Rhys and Fall" then I will direct it into "C:Program Files/Fireaxis etc..."

And yes, if all else fails I'll just keep trying to re-download and install them into the right folder somehow. I'll keep all posted. Thanks again...Maureen:goodjob:

Oh, are you playing Warlords or Vanilla? Make sure you install the correct download in the correct folder. 196 for Vanilla, 146 for Warlords.

I tried re-downloading several mods, but still no luck. However, I noticed that my security warning window pops up and asks if I will "allow" or "block" access to something trying to alter a setting of some sort. As a rule, I always pick "block" because I don't know what it's trying to alter. I'm using the latest Symantec security program. The warning pop-up does hint that it has something to do with "no CD burning". Do you think this may be causing the problem?

That is strange. I would allow it if it pops up with RFC. There's nothing dangerous in it.
