some more questions pls..

1) I have already started a game for the HOF , after reading carefully all the rules , and installed version 1.61.011 of HOF Mod. When i started the game i first load from Options menu the mod , and after i went into custom menu and fixed the other options according to the rules. Finally i opened the game after restarting , and made my first save in 4000 bc. Is it everything all right since now? should i go into options and make something more? or continue playing?

and a second question now...
2) what are the factors in the game for a high score? ( lets say in space race victory) and how should i know if it is the right time to finish the game with space victory in order to have as much higher score as i can? Is the highest score the road to the HOF, isnt it?
thanx , so much:)

1) If you didn't get a warning at the start of the game, then it should be correct. There is a start file checker on the HOF site (hof.civfanatics.net) (you must be logged in to use it). You can use it to check if everything is okay.

2) Time is the road to the HOF (most of the time anyway, there's a special score category), so you should try to finish as soon as possible.

i think the sooner you finish it depends from the way of your victory. i am interesting about space race category. is time the most important factor again , and what else's? I recentry finished a space race in warlord with 4225 points in 2006 ad. what should i care in order to get maximum score?
thanx dutchfire

HOF has the following 'winning' conditions:
1) Conquest
2) Cultural
3) Diplomatic
4) Domination
5) Space Race
6) Time
7) Score

For condition 1-5, only the winning date counts. The score is irrelevant.
For condition 6, the score at year 2050 counts.
For condition 7, the score for any winning date and any victory type (1-6) counts.

To answer your question, if you are aiming for condition 5, score does not matter. On the other hand, if you are aiming for condition 7, using space race victory, the score is a trade-off between early finnish and growing population. Note however, that in most cases, conquest and domination are better victory types for maximizing your score. This is because the other victory types takes more turns to complete and your score takes a penalty from a large number of turns.

So far everything sounds correct. One good thing to watch is when you start up your game and get the "Dawn of Man" screen at the beginning, there will be a HoF Warning in red at the bottom of that pop-up. If you're unsure about what I'm talking about, you can also press F8 and click on the Settings tab. If there were any HoF Warnings it'll show on this screen as well.

I'd suggest forcing the HoF Warning at first, just to familiarize yourself with what to expect. Start up a game you have no intention of playing and uncheck the "Locked Modified Assets" box at the game startup. Look for the error in the Dawn of Man screen and also check the Settings in the F8 screen. By forcing them, you'll know what to look for if you accidently do it later.

Miraculix did a good job answering this one. Simply put, score does not matter for a space victory, only the year you launch.

Again, we welcome you to the HoF!

Thanx so much all friends for replies...:goodjob: but i still dont understand some things...let me put it in another way...first of all i like space race victory , because i think its the most realistic one...secondary which is the way for someone to enter into the HOF...i think the answer is to get as many points as he can in the category that is playing..ok? so i am aiming for condition 7 using space race victory ...right?
and now my final question...as i can see in the tables of HOF in Space Race category , standard , warlord , marathon , ancient , Bone Crusher has managed to get 48229 (!) points in 1480 AD and he is 1st in the table , when lets say an example , Hanwe has just 18997 points in 1882 AD but in normal category...so my question is how Hanwe can get more points than 48229 (Bone Crusher's) ??? must he play marathon ? is that the only way , or they are and other factors except time , population , and speed?
thanx

The bolded part is where you go wrong, the Hall of Fame selects on earliest finish date, not highest score.

Let's say you submit a space race victory game to the HOF. This game will be ranked in two different tables:
1) One of the Space Race tables. In this table, your game will be ranked according to your finish date. Your score does not matter for ranking in this table.
2) One of the Score tables. In this table your game will be ranked according to the score achieved.
In general, every game that is submitted to the HOF will be ranked in two tables, the table corresponding to the victory type, and one of the score tables.
Is it important to keep in mind that aiming for fastest finish date and maximum score require different strategies. A game that does well in the space race table (finish date) will not do well in the score table and vice versa.

I am not sure I understand your question, but I assume you are wondering why Hanwe's game has much less points than Bone Crusher's. I believe the main reason is the fact that Hanwe's finish date is much later than Bone Crusher's. The score formula includes a penalty for late finishes. This means that if all other factors (population, land, technology, wonders) are equal, the game with the earliest finish date gets the highest score.

Well your replies have been good but score counts anyway IF win date is same. On those rare occasions highest score on same date is better. Not that it makes much difference but on duel/conquest wins mostly

for duel conquest there exits even the case of same date and same score, even twice in one table:
