Is there a key for this? I cant find it in the manual o.O

My hand started hurting after playing this game, cause you use the mouse so much, build ques has helped some but having to move every single unit when it pops is taking it's toll too ><

What does a rally point do exactly? How does it work?

Great stuff, thanks Silent ^_^

Rally points makes your unit go to a preselected point when it's build kcb, so instead of having to move every unit or stacks of units out of every production city you got you can make them all go to one place.

Like in CIv3, I believe Theres also a "continental rally point".

The "city rally point" will make a specific city's units head to a designated point on the map. The "continental rally point" will makes all the other' citys not designated to a specific " city rally point" head to another single spot on the map.

THis is great when planning two pronged attacks and for wiping away hours of micromanagment that many units create.

How do you set a continental rally point?

How do you set a continental rally point?

Hold down CTRL when selecting a city to select all cities on this city's continent. Or, if you want to set a rally point for a group of cities, select the cities while holding down SHIFT. Then do a SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK on the position of the intended rally point.

(If you hold down ALT while clicking a city, all cities will become selected. This won't be of much use for setting rally points, but it can come in handy when you want to reset governor options.)

I just discovered the rally point a few months ago and it made the post-gunpowder game so much less tedious for me that I actually played to the end of a few games. But that didn't last long. Now I usually play until I take a commanding lead and get bored and start a new game. So I still don't use the rally point that much because it's not as useful for when you only have a few cities in the beginning. But anyway, Beyond the Sword should revive the post-gunpowder game so hopefully then I will play the late game and start using the rally point more once again :goodjob:
