I have noticed that when I research calendar, the playing area map changes to cover a larger area with smaller details, the same as zooming out a ways. I am then not able to get back to the normal view. I can zoom out further and zoom in closer but I can't get the zoom to stop at the usual opening magnification. If I exit the game and reload it, the view returns to normal.
I have also found that if I play for many hours at a stretch the game play slows to a crawl. If I exit the game and quit to the desktop, I find the entire OS and all applications have slowed down. Everything crawls. If I shut down the Mac and restart, the OS and all applications run normally. When I then launch CIV and reload my game it runs nice and snappy. This does not happen with any other application, only with CIV.
Has anyone else noticed this? If so, has anyone found a fix other than what I have been doing?
I am using a G4 PPC Mac Mini, 1.5 mhz, 1 Gig memory, 64 MB graphics memory, ATI Radeon 9200.
I am using Rev C vanilla CIV.
