How do i extend it adding more tiles.

You can ask some of the people here to upload one of their's, since I believe there is one which has 1000 slots.

Yeah true. but i added many units but now im running out of room.

Those icons are in the file units_32.pcx. You can extend it by opening it in a graphics program that supports PCX (GIMP, PSP, Photoshop, etc) and enlarging the canvas. For each row you want to add, make height of the image 33 pixels larger (32 for the icon, 1 for the border).
As d.highland said, you can also download extended units_32 grids, some of which have hundreds or even thousands of icons for existing units.
