TF is aware,and trying to resolve it. This affects all GOTM activities in the interim. Does that mean SGOTM is down too, or is that a separate server?

Self answer: Upload/download SGOTM page is down, SGOTM forums are intact.

And just for completeness, does that mean that Civ 3 and Civ 4 GOTM are both down, or are those on separate servers? (Now you have my curiosity up! :D )

The GOTM file and web server is one server, covering all xGOTM competitions. Currently we do not know how quickly we shall be able to restore service. It may take a few days, using a new server.

In the event that we have to recover from the last offsite backup we may have to regress to 26 March. Please therefore ensure that you retain copies of all saves that you can in case we need to ask for your support in recovering data.

Moot point now, as the server is operational. However, for future reference, you can continue to pass the SGOTM saves via forum attachments, or via email if the server is unavailable, and upload them later, when the server is restored.
