Did anyone else know you can do this? If you pick leaders in a custom game, not only can you have the same civ twice or more in the same game, you can even have the same leaders! The "first" incarnation of a civ gets the usual team colour, then subsequent incarnations get other colours (and it looks to me like this might mess up the distribution of colours among the rest of the civs further down the list).

If you're particularly twisted, you might choose to play against 17 Isabellas, say, or 7 Caesars and 10 Augustii (heh). A warning though: it can become *very* confusing when other leaders ask you to declare war or stop trading with a duplicate leader. Which Frederick are you talking about? Do you mean my best friend next door, or some guy on the other side of the world whom I don't really care about? It also gets a bit confusing when a civ's "normal" city names get spread out over several different teams. You keep thinking things like, I can't remember, is Elizabeth's capital London or York?

I've not yet had time to try an serious game like this; I discovered it while messing around trying to get some screengrabs of the leaderheads. I'm guessing it must have been mentioned here before, but I've been here a while and haven't seen it mentioned yet.

I can only fathom those types of gaming situations after enjoying a pizza with pepperoni & psilocybin.
