As we seem to have a split decision in discussion of upgrading the game, this poll has begun to reflect a more accurate opinion about upgrading to the newest patch
Original Thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21742)
I request everyone vote in this poll (Cabinet, governors, citizens, and moderators) and include your pro's and con's to upgrading.
Thank you,
The Office of the Councilmembers

I voted no, since it might change the game dynamics. But, we should only in the event that the game becomes unstable due to a 1.17f bug.

I vote to upgrade as soon as we come out of anarchy, (I have no idea if there is any relation to that, but I would hate to have it restart the anarchy turn count!!). Plus it just seems fitting, our new government would operate against the new AI, etc.
The main reason is the example from the last turn chat, no one present was running 1.17, even though we had about 5 cabinet members or deputies there.

I too voted to upgrade, and agree with Justus II. Question: Should Grey Fox upgrade immediately after we choose a govt. Will upgrading mid-turn chat cause us a problem? I would imagine it to be a smooth transition, but I'm assuming.

The people seem to have voiced their opinion. Should we move for a cabinet vote? How about starting one soon so we can get it done, maybe by the round after this one?

I don't think this requires a cabinet vote. There's no constitutional provision for game versions - it's just a mechanical decision.

Great. I think it can be up to Grey Fox then from here on in as to when. I agree with Justus' recommendation though.
