1806 - Finns rebel and arrest Russian soldiers all around the territory. Rome-Gaul invades Rhineland. Russians sell some of their colonies to Scandinavian Union, in order to free the garrisons. Germans win at Genoa, but much of their Italian Offensive is exhausted. Rome-Gaulian King is assassinated, as more and more uprisings begin. Russians land in Normandy and Sicily. Sicily is overrun, and Romans make strategical withdrawal. In Normandy however, Russians are pushed back to sea. Rome-Gaulian forces are defeated by Scandinavians.

1807 - Rome-Gaulian are defeated in India, and pulled back to Delhi. Revolution in Rome-Gaul begins. Battle at Brussels: a major Gaulian Defeat, as Germans cur off the port city of Calais, just before the cease-fire comes. Cease Fire between Rome-Gaul and the Anti-Roman Coalition. 1809 - Madagascar declares war on China, a first step to Second Indian Liberation War. Russia, Inca, Scandinavia and Germany follow it. China invades Siberia. Battle at Ulan Ude: Chinese push to the Lake Baykal. Landing India: Russia Marines liberated first Bombay and then other coastal Indian cities.

1810 - New colonial drive in Rome-Gaul. Chinese start a major counteroffensive in India. Imperial Line is built on China-India border if the counteroffensive fails. Chinese win at Cuttack and retake East Coast of India. German Expeditionary Divison has arrived to Siberian Front, and launched an offensive in Tibet with the help of natives. 1811 - True Industrial Age has begun with the discovery of steam and a good use for it in transportation. With the arrival of main German forces to the front, invasion of Amur province and offensive in Tibet, in the lest-protected area of merchant town - Tsuhilumpo. In Amur, There were not enough Chinese to face the attack, but it was stopped, while in Tibet the sudden offensive by German forces was a victory. A costly one, of course, but a victory. New Russian offensive in India is held at Ahmadnagar, as war in India turns into Trench War, until someone breaks the stalemate... Massive reforms of Russian and Scandinavian fleets bring them into Ironclad Era. Battle at Irkutsk, and some other smaller clashes: more Chinese gains in Siberia, but at large cost. Germans start bringing their navy up to date too... Russians reinforce the new offensive in Amur Region.

It appears that the evils of the world have aligned against you. While Egypt has no malice towards England and France, we have been victimized many times by Greek incursions into our lands in the Eastern Med.

Egypt is interested in joing in a military agreement against the Greeks. Currently the Ra and Set Divisions of the Lower army are ready to march into Greece should you agree to this arrangement.

1812 - Operation Serpent: Russian and Scandinavian marines land in Tientsin and after taking it, they've stopped Shang Tung and his government from escaping by surrounding Beijing. This caused great demoralization in the army. Before Chinese commanders restored order, Allied troops have advanced very far in all fronts. They started to meet a new threat: Chinese partisans.

1813 - Shang Tung escapes on a last cargo ship out of Shanghai, thanks to his followers who helped him to escape from Beijing. War is basically over as republican rebels take control over east China. New waves of Canadian expansion begin. New Republic of Chain is established under interim leader Jin Teng. India is now independent and its territory is doubled. Over 7/8 of Chinese territory is abandoned, and any country can claim this territory. All of Chinese army and navy have been disbanded. Germany and Russia quickly start to claim abandoned land.

1814 - On the first Chinese democratic elections, Socialist Free Party and Ki Lao win. On the new elections in Germany, Ludwig Lozte has come to power. Sugurha returns to Hungary. German East Africa and German Abyssinia are established. Farther Incan expansion in Somali.

1815 - Californika is invented, a Canadian warship based on Californian designs and some Canadian additions. Canadians make their new North America division plan.

1816 - Incan capital is moved to Machu Pichu. Incas make their new South America Division plan. First railroad is built between Vienna and Graz. German colonies first appear in Indo-China.

IDEAS: Players need to meet regularly to ensure the story stays water-tight.
Once MP comes, and once Cities can be placed, it will be MUCH easier to ensure everything works (i.e. reasonable build times, bugeting)

Hey im totally new to this NES thing, and i would just like a few questions answered. how exactly does this work? do we all have to play the same map? what do u mean one real day=one year? can i start a new country? (damn you skilord i wanted ireland! :( )

I would like to try California, but I also don't know too much about how all this works. I'd really like to give it a shot, however!

I seek no quarrel with any of the other nations, Our expansion is not an act of hostilities.

Das, I suggest a tech advance time for this game. How about 7 days(7 years game time) between each age?

Say, for now we can't have any new advances.

Then in a week we can all move up one industrial level, and thus gain access to more research. The levels going up as you have them, middle medieval to late, then to early industrial, then to middle industrial etc, and you can research one tech per day from that age of Civ 3?

Or instead of advancing tech levels, you can choose for that week to advance the size of your army or the size of your navy both to a maximum of huge.

How does this idea grab you?

And once again, I think that numbers should be implemented for each size, although how they are divided into groups like regiments or divisions can be up to the ruler:

I intend to colonise the area south of central Russia, unless the Chinese protest, in which case we can divide it equally.

My army is fully equipped at the moment, and stands ready to defend Russia. It has size and power, but it will not enter a war in Europe.

My navy is another matter. It is modern, but small. I don't plan on expanding it though.

Also, Russia begins to send out explorers to Alaska, South America(Argentina) and New Zealand.

I hope that colones will be set up in those places soon, and the explorers will plant Russia's flag every mile they go. If anyone tries making colonies in the area they lay out, expect war :p

We are disturbed by your decision to come to the aid of Greece should our troops approach Athens. Egyptian soverignty has been breached time and time again by Greek forces. Greek forces have crossed the border and raided Egyptian towns for ages, sometimes with and sometimes without, approval from Athens (OCC: just thowing in some old History).

We have no desire to destroy Athens or the Greek culture, we just wish for these incursions to stop. Egypt must retain her independence. Currently, talks are underway between Alexandria and Athens regarding peace.

Also, while our ally, Germany, is also at war with Britain, Egypt has never fired a shot in anger or declared war. Wahington wasn't quite sure about how the English would react to his rebellion, but for the time being he was lying low. The Srivijayan fleet began it's forced entry to the rivers of Tigris and Euphrates. The unsuspecting Babylonian fleet, still docked was quickly ripped apart by cannon fire while some Srivajayan sailors boarded them and captured them.

The Srivijayan fleet began it's forced entry to the rivers of Tigris and Euphrates. The unsuspecting Babylonian fleet, still docked was quickly ripped apart by cannon fire while some Srivajayan sailors boarded them and captured them.

Report on the war in Babylonia from the Jakarta Times:

The reports from the Srivijayan expeditionary force has been spectacular. The Srivajayan fleet, made for the low waters surrounding our islands, has made impressive progress in their voyage up the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, and it is now in posession of Baghdad itself.

With the greater part of our army involved, we have been able to keep them well-maintained by our large merchant fleet--the largest in Asia. Supplies are carried virtually non-stop from Sumatra to the top end of the Persian Gulf while the guerilla fighting by the Babylonian militia has been un-organized and sparse throughout the territory. The only hand up was the year-long blockade and bombardment of Baghdad, the major reason for the slowup in the Tigris offensive.

However, the whole of the Babylonian Euphrates has been conquered, lead by Rear Admiral Derispada, with the Srivajayan flagship King Elevada spearheading the combined naval/soldier advance which has ended in Egyptian Syria. The main forward base is at Ramadar.

Very little information has been recieved from the Greek front but they appear to have been relatively bogged down after the legendary victory at Mosul.

On the contrary, I support the move against Rome-Gaul. Russia supports free countries, as shown by us giving Scandinavia independence.

That is also why I impose restrictions in wars to make sure that a country isn't destroyed, as I believe that every nation has a right to exist.

That includes India. I add my voice and my army to those demanding that Rome-Gaul leave India immediately.

If they have not left in one year, Russia will join those forcibly ejecting them from India. Who is deciding the outcome of the battles? If das has a special method (like he mentioned before) then I feel it is only fair he shares it with us as his enemies might feel at a disadvantage and feel unfairly treated.

King Pamplemousse XIV was rather angrified. He had sent armies to the area the germans took, then ordered an assault on the Rhinelands. 350000 men in all, the rest were in India & Ivory coast. India didn't seem to matter much anymore, but it was about pride, dammit.

There had also been problems. There had been something of an uprising in the gaul part of the empire, with the gaullian monarch leading. (rome-gaul is a dual monarchy, remember)

He had ordered the Gaullian monarch to be killed, as well as his family. Gaullian nationalists would not be tolerated. All persons spreading ideas of a seperate Gaul would be killed, and any books spreading the idea would be burned. Rome-Gaul would now be a police state.

All in all, the 200,000 troops finally make a landing, 50,000 troops were destroyed, and only 3 ships remain. This, though, was the last stronghold of the Romans in their colonies.

The Scandinavian Union is going to stay what it is - a union.
If I let Finland seperate from the union so will other territorys eventually.
The war with Rome-Gaul is justified. I can not watch as a free country gets invaded. The world needs to state an example.
I see now that the people of TSU need more freedom. We will form into a Republic with me as Consul and create a senate that will have much power. I invite you to join this senate. Any further actions from Finland separatists will from now on be seen as a threat to the National(union) security and will dealt with accordingly.
And Mannerheim: Only a little % of the finnish people support you. Most, including the soldiers and officers, want the union to stay whole.

For Security:
I suggest all nations withdraw their civilians from Finland. I will also soon close the borders to Finland.

I fear that Scandinavia becoming too fractured could create a land ripe for enemies of Russia to exploit, and so I support a single country in Scandinavia, the TSU, which fairly represents all of the nations in it as far as I am concerned.

The only way Russia would agree to letting Finland be independent is by it joining a defence pact with Scandinavia and Russia, and possibly joining the Shanghai Pact. It should also allow Scandinavia to retain a border with Russia.

PS: In return for the supply bases lent to me by Scandinavia, I am sending 250,000 troops there to defend them from Rome-Gaul invasion. I place these troops under the command of Karl Max, so that Russian supply lines will not be disrupted. This however means that Karl must feed them until the crisis is over and the troops can all return home.

As soon as the 250.000 troops sent to Scandinavia from Russia were placed under the control of Scandinavia they were spread out over Finland. All over Finland russian soldiers arrested and executed suspect finnish revolutionaries and separatists. Near Helsinki an army of around 50.000 finnish farmers demanding the independence for Finland was defeated and the survivors executed. The corpses of the separatists were piled up on the town squares of citys and towns in Finland and were then burnt.
The number of dead finnish terrorists was counted to 65.000.

A memorial was created over the dead russian and Scandinavian soldiers.

Mannerheim The First and Last managed to flee in a small ship. There is reason to suspect he fled to Rome.

Finnish borders are once again open as Finland is once again safe.

I am appalled and angry that my troops have been abused in such a way, and their leader will be court martialled on his return to Russia. Dead Russians would have been forgivable if they had been defending Scandinavia, but not in as mercenaries in a civil war.

I am disappointed in my neighbour, and so I am pulling my troops back out of Scandinavia. They will march from Finland back across the Russian border now.

I send a personal word of sorrow to all those who have lost loved ones in the Scandinavian civil war, but secretly breathe a sigh of relief that a region so near to Russia has stabilised once more.

Battle at Genoa: In a long and bloody battle, the Germans have prevailed, but much of their Italian Offensive is exhausted.

Battle at Mosel: A draw.

Deployement: Much of German reserves in Saxony and the troops on Russian and Hungarian borders are sent to the front.

das, you're forgetting the battle for India(unless that's where Mosel is, I don't have a clue!), and my landings in Normany and Sicily(250,000 troops at Normandy then head to Paris, 150,000 in Sicily then head north).

Also, I have sent 100,000 men to aid the Chinese in India.

I have 500,000 troops left in Russia, now that my men have withdrawn from Finland.

Seventeen ships support the landings(My Atlantic, Baltic and Black Sea Fleets) while my Pacific Fleet(8 ships) goes to India to help bombard the shore.

When the war is finished, all will return home, after making sure that India is independent and free, and Rome-Gaul is reinstated as a nation after it's defeat.

There was much unrest in Rome-Gaul. The people of Gaul did not appreciate the assassination of their Monarch, and the people were war-weary. But, King Pamplemousse XIV was determined to go ahead with the war.

He had instated executions for dissenters. This really only served to angrify the people even more. But still, the King went on.

"The people are a fickle lot," he stated. "Democracies never do the right thing."

Rome-Gaul would go on with this holy war.

That is, until an angry mob stormed the King's palace in Rome, taking the King out to be tried for crimes against the people. The mob hurriedly sent out messages to the world asking for peace, stating that India can be free from Rome-Gaullian rule.

The Nobility and imperial military would not stand for this.

The war on Rome-Gaul should be called off. The rebels should be aided, India granted it's independence, and the whole mess solved.

The Rome-Gaul revolt sounds a bit suspicious to me, like someone may be pulling the rebel's strings(OOC: :p). But I accept that they must be given a chance, and as they are willing to let India be free, then I order my troops and ships home, even those helping China, unless the Rome-Gaul military refuses to support the new government. In that scenario, I order half of my army(500,000 men) to be put under Rome-Gaul's command to destroy the traitorous army, and help arrest any troublesome aristocrats, as well as guarantee free elections.
