The long awaited throne room/palace mod for Civilization IV has before a throne room mod is made for both Civ IV and Warlords, I need some ideas and a team of modders. Please post any ideas on this forum. If you want to be on this mod team, you should also make that known.

One idea might be that your palace can be "built up" so to speak with each section or "module" adding more of either culture, gold or commerce (or any combination) to your empire.

Thank you for a good idea that will improve the mod a lot. Your idea will help the Palace/throne room to be a lot more practical and improve the satisfaction of watching your palace grow.

Here are some possibilities for palace add on's;
Palace Granary: Adds +4 food and +1 health and helps reduce the effects of starvation (maybe by -1 or -2 should it occur within your capitol.
Hall of Heroes:An area of the palace devoted to various "heroes of the people" past and present. Adds +6 culture per turn when built and +3 great general emergence per turn. Double build with marble.
Palace Gardens: An extensive network of elegent gardens and fountains within the palace grounds. Adds +4 culture and +4 gold per turn. Double build time with marble.
Palace Treasury: A series of vaults that house the bulk of the palace gold, silver and other funds. Adds + 1 gold per city within empire and a +3 great Merchant emergence per turn.
Crown Jewels: A collection of the priceless gems, jewels and other artifacts of the realm. Adds +4 culture and +6 gold per turn. Requires access to gems and mine
War Trophy Room: A collection of old war relics from past victories. Adds a +50% bonus within the city and a +25% bonus to all troops stationed within the "fat cross" radius. Must have fought at least some battles to built this - perhaps a level three or four unit. Double build time with stone. This functions as a "cultural" defence bonus.
Palace Court: Reduces upkeep in capital by an additional -25%. Adds +2 culture per turn. Double build time with marble.
Diplomatic Chambers: A series of well appointed chambers for foriegn diplomates. Adds a +2 diplomatic bonus when dealing with other civilizations and adds +2 gold per turn (gifts).

I think it would be great to have a Palace/Throne room structure that adds bonuses! It would definitely be a lot better than it being simple eye candy. I also think certain milestones should be reached before being able to build anything (like usual).
