I'm still not sure if I would do it though during singleplayer if so... it feels a little bit like cheating. But it's cool nonetheless. Gyathaar May 14, 2007, 10:40 AM It is possible to do it today too btw.. but you have to either edit xml files, or you can edit a worldbuildersave (any civ/leader combination is allowed in worldbuildersaves) deanjack May 14, 2007, 10:49 AM i think it is only for multiplayer but if you go into the multiplayer lobby, make a game and lock it with you the only player and voila you have a single player game. Thedrin May 14, 2007, 12:14 PM I would be surprised if it is in single player. In multiplayer, your potentially overpowered leader/civ combination can be countered by the other humans choosing potentially overpowered leader/civ combinations (how many games will feature every player as Boudica of the Romans?). In single player, the AI can't counter. I'd still love to see the single player option 'random leader traits' so that potentially any trait combination could be paired with any unique unit/unique building combination but the AI would have just as good a chance of getting an overpowered combination as the human would. Hell, throw in 'random unique unit' and 'random unique building' options as well so that the custom game set up leader choice can simply be about picking your favourite colour. |
