Hi and welcome to the Head Scientists office

Currently we are researching machinery which will be completed in 11 turns
Techs we can research
Calender 7 turns needed fairly soon as many of our great new cities with have resources needing plantations to access them.

Monarchy 6 turns needed for hereditary rule and the winery improvement, also for feudalism (16 turns)

Polytheism 2 turns not useful by itself but leads to monotheism (3 turns) and therefore access to the organised religion civic also to literature and the great library.

Compass 8 turns A tech currently not needed

Engineering (after machinery) 19 turns Not needed now.

Drama 4 turns A tech in my opinion is not needed until at least after the war as we have no real happiness issues and also because theatres require the culture slider to be up to be really effective however it does lead to music and then miltary tradition

Tech tree is below

I like monarchy for happy faces. we may face some unhappiness over the war
