If you do not know yet... replace these flc files in your Victory slot in your aircraft INI files.
I_batman May 17, 2007, 08:22 PM Very cool, but how are they to be integrated with current units?
TopGun May 17, 2007, 08:24 PM just put it in the folder of the unit you want to use it.
BTW, Wyrm... nice work, especially on the torpedo and missile attack!
Tank_Guy#3 May 17, 2007, 08:59 PM Very awesome, I also like the torpedo attack.
96nn May 17, 2007, 11:11 PM Wooooo... So glaring flics, they dazzled me.
Stormrage May 18, 2007, 11:16 AM Awesome!!!
Bluemofia May 19, 2007, 12:44 PM Sweet... Now to figure out which units to use these with. :D
NavyDawg May 19, 2007, 12:53 PM I remember these from your preview, and am glad that you released them. They're all absolutely great!
Now, my obligatory Civ III gripe: Too bad you can't have aircraft that can only bomb sea units...
WilliamOfOrange May 20, 2007, 06:34 AM Very Sweet! Thanks, and great work:goodjob:
I agree with ND
Goldflash May 20, 2007, 06:54 PM I remember these from your preview, and am glad that you released them. They're all absolutely great!

Oh Come on. Havn't you heard of the Burrowing Mole Anti-Tank Torpedo?
Neither have I.
Exoticpollution May 21, 2007, 05:53 PM Those are really nice and will definitely come in handy.
I agree with NavyDawg that it's too bad that CivIII can't adequately accomodate all these wonderful graphics. But I'm sure they'll fix that in CivIV. =)
againsttheflow May 21, 2007, 07:27 PM But I'm sure they'll fix that in CivIV. =)
You mean fixed. ;) And I don't think they did. :(
DragonBird May 21, 2007, 08:42 PM Bing-Batta-Boom! Awesome...
Exoticpollution May 22, 2007, 02:01 AM Yeah, I was being sarcastic. CivIV was pretty much the most expensive jewel case I ever bought. But at least now my CD of dog pictures is kept scratch-free.
againsttheflow May 22, 2007, 08:48 AM Then work on your sarcastic note. ;) Like change the smilie or something.
DragonBird May 23, 2007, 03:26 PM There's something I noticed... After the explosions there's a lingering smoke...
Balam-Agab May 24, 2007, 06:30 PM mmmmm... napalm.
Good work!
DragonBird May 25, 2007, 12:04 PM mmmmm... napalm.
Good work!
I love the smell of napalm in the morning...
Blue Monkey May 25, 2007, 04:07 PM Cro-mag: "Fire good! Cook Meat!"
Fellow inductie at US Army reception station: "Yeah, I signed up for a six year commitment 'cause I like to blow things up, and this way I can go to EOD training."
20th CE Ubermensch: "Fire! Fire! Fire, Fire, Fire!"
Translation: all really worthy additions to our repertoire.
Gen. Rommel Jun 14, 2007, 01:39 PM Man, these look super nice. I have to carefully think about which units these would be accurate for. Especially the torpedo attack, which I would actually like to use for ship of some sort rather than a plane (the level that it's on would also be accurate for a torpedo launched from a battleship for instance). Would it look weird with these animations Wyrm?
Again, animations like these make me remember how badly I hate the fact that you can't alternate between 2-3 different attack animations for units. So many nice custom animations go to waste because of this.
Steph Jun 14, 2007, 04:20 PM I tried to use the torpedo attack, but the explosion happens far from where the ship is located.
Is there some settings to do to have it work right?
Wyrmshadow Jun 14, 2007, 07:50 PM I need to redo it then
BadKharma Jun 14, 2007, 08:00 PM I tried to use the torpedo attack, but the explosion happens far from where the ship is located.

Steph thats because the pilots aim was off ;)
Exoticpollution Jun 15, 2007, 12:25 AM I noticed the torpedo miss a while ago when I tried it out. But I thought that it would be hard to make something that always hits because of the different sizes of ships and because the length exceeds the beam by so much. Or at least that was the earfull I thought I'd get if I said something. =)
I think it looks pretty cool right now. And a near miss probably looks better than a hit anyway. But if it could be improved, that would be even cooler.
Wyrmshadow Jun 15, 2007, 01:00 AM Check the 1st post. I moved the explosion towards the center. I had to shrink everything to do it and I changed the pallete a little as well.
Steph Jun 15, 2007, 01:18 AM Thanks Wyrm! Will check this evening in game.
I did not check the effect in game for the napalm bombing, but perhaps they have the same problem.
Also, the straffing run attacks extend a bit to the next tile, but that's not a real big problem (it doesn't show as much as the torpedo attacp). But if you want to update it one day, it may be worth it.
El Justo Jun 15, 2007, 07:19 AM i've tested all but the torpedo flc's and they each look very nice and 'on target' imo.
Adler17 Jun 25, 2007, 08:50 AM Erm, how do I implement these graphics? I copied them into the unit folder, made attack.flc to attack 2 and Torpedo2.flc to attack 1. It didn't work. What did I make wrong?
Adler
El Justo Jun 25, 2007, 09:01 AM they need to go into the 'victory' slot of the INI :)
Adler17 Jun 25, 2007, 09:04 AM Thanks.
Adler
Adler17 Jun 26, 2007, 02:29 PM Very nice attacks. As being an aerial torpedo the smaller torpedo attack is not so wrong. :goodjob:
