It's my first marathon length game and it's 1472 I'm making 73 GPT and at 100% research, and have over 14000 gold :O My economy usually sucks, but this time it's uber pwnage! It's a weird game overall because I'm usually an agressive player, and I'm Shaka (random leader), but I don't have 1 XP in the great general meter and only one war has broken out between the AI.

:O It's strange, but fun. Terra map on gigantic on marathon speed is pretty fun. Daunting, but fun.

I just completed my first ever conquest victory on Deity, gigantic with 24 civs.

Mad skills.

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

Shrines are really nice for that. I'm thinking a holy city + great merchants + GP farm of merchants + Wall Street, etc = $$$ at 100% research. It's also nice because you can then ignore building $ improvements in other cities, save for health and happiness bonuses.

Plus the spiral minaret = major money.
