Hi,

I recently bought the XFX GeForce 7600 graphics card in order to be able to play Medieval 2: Total War, but since upgrading, I have not been able to play Warlords. Everytime I try to play, when I am choosing which leader to play as, the whole computerfreezes up, only allowing me to move the mouse. If I am lucky to get past this stage (which has only happened once) I am presented with a map that, whilst playable, is hard to use due to a break up in the graphics. Ihave tries uninatalling and reinstalling the game, but this hasn't worked, and I have downloaded the latest drivers for the graphics card. I am now clueless as to what I can do to get Civ to work again.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I have the same problem with my GeForce 7600GS graphics card.

My system's spec:

P4 2.4GHz
2.5G of Ram
Nvidia Diver = 93.71

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!

I have done what was suggested in the linked thread, and whilst it seems that the crash problem has been resolved, I am still getting graphical problems.

The below pictures show the graphical problems I am having:

I have tried the graphical detail on the lowest setting and still this doesn't help. One thing I am think though is that could this be due to the latest drivers? It seems strange to me, but after installing the grahics card, I loaded the game to see how the graphics were improved and encountered no problems. However since installing the driver, I am encountoring this problem. Could this be the problem I am experiencing.
