Hello, i'm a newb and i want to ask about some thing's.
1. What is the best civ for:
Domination Victory
Cultural Victory
Space Race Victory.
2. What tactics should i employ to get each victory?
3. How soon should i start attacking in a Domination game?
3b. Whats the best mix on troops:
Early
Mid
and Late game?
4.How offen should i build cities. The game always keeps pressing me to build more, even when i've just founded a city.
5. With my very first settler, should i scout around or just settle on its starting location?
6. How importent is city specialation?
7. Should my first city be balenced or specialised?
8. Should i start a religon or focus on other tech?
9. Should i start wonders early on or let my cities focus on other thing's.
10. Can i have a pet wolf called fluffy? :p
I'm playing at Warlord level.
Thanks for you reply.

Hello, i'm a newb and i want to ask about some thing's.
1. What is the best civ for:
Domination Victory
Cultural Victory
Space Race Victory.Iroquois
2. What tactics should i employ to get each victory?Conquer the world. Only 20K culture is different. There is a good article in the War Academy about that.
3. How soon should i start attacking in a Domination game?About 1000BC or a little later on a standard map.
3b. Whats the best mix on troops:
EarlyHorses.
MidKnights.
and Late game?Cavalry.
Only on the very highest levels is this false.
4.How offen should i build cities. The game always keeps pressing me to build more, even when i've just founded a city. The game is right. Never stop building new cities.
5. With my very first settler, should i scout around or just settle on its starting location? In general, scouting with your settler is not worth it. Choose the best location you can see. Of course, you should move your worker (and scout if you have one) before making this decision.
6. How importent is city specialation?A few food-rich cities should be devoted to building settlers and workers. Shield-rich cities should be units. Other than that, not early.
7. Should my first city be balenced or specialised? It depends on the start. If food-rich, it should get a granary and be devoted to training settlers. Otherwise, a mixture of settlers and units would probably be best.
8. Should i start a religon or focus on other tech?Definitely other things. Start Alpha-Writing-CoL-Philo-Republic, the last as a free tech. Pottery may come first if you need a granary. That's the only tech you should even consider other than the Republic beeline. Religion is pretty useless in civ 3 anyway.
9. Should i start wonders early on or let my cities focus on other thing's.Definitely stay away from wonders. The only AE wonders which are even moderately interesting are the Great Light and the SoZ. And they depend on the map. Pyramids and ToA are very valuable but not worth building. Conquer them instead.
10. Can i have a pet wolf called fluffy? :p:eek: I sincerely hope not.

Note: This is about Civ 4.

I don't think so. Although the comment about religion made me wonder, the rest seemed more civ3. Among other things, there is no Warlord level in Civ4.

There is a warlord level in CivIV. It's the one that's even easier than Noble.
